A different perspective for you:

Democracy was under attack in Ukraine since 2014 when anti-Russian Western Ukrainians overthrew the rightly elected President, Yanukovych. This is just a continuation of 7 years of anti-democratic actions, which were started by the Western Ukrainian people. The ethnically Russian Eastern Ukrainians will be home with their Russian brethren soon enough.

Yes - the souls of the Eastern Ukrainian people are currently shackled - by Ukraine.

Now you are just lying. The separatists have had an essentially separate country since 2014. The only shackles on them are from their Russian allies.

If Russia's invasion was about that part of Ukraine the Russian troops would be there, not attacking the western part of Ukraine.

“…why should we believe what we are hearing or seeing from the Main Stream media?”

I agree, and refuse to take their bait.

why should we believe what we are hearing or seeing from the Main Stream Media?

In general you should not believe what the Main Stream Media says without independent evidence.

There is plenty of information available from local sources in Ukraine. Google translate is your friend. There is a lot of fighting and indiscriminate bombing and shelling of civilians.

Why should I believe what local people are saying? That’s like believing the moms on TV holding a child who is saying the end is near, run for the hills yet saying she has specific evidence of troop losses, tank losses and so on.

And there have been too many bogus images displayed on TV and online, so I’ll stick with Breitbart, GP, Tim Pool, etc.

Exactly - the “pacifist” Dems are being gaslit into military conflict. Why gaslight the Dems? Because, as we have seen with Covid, they are stupid and gullible.

I agree with you that we should not engage in Ukrainian.

But it doesn’t look like the folks in Eastern Ukraine are thrilled with their liberators.

One doesn’t need to embrace the Russian propaganda to stay out of their war.

Dems hate Putin because he “stole” the election from Hillary. That’s an “act of war” to them. They couldn’t care less about Ukraine.

Are you sure that we don’t have to embrace Russian propaganda in order to keep the Democrats from wanting war/intervention?

And make no mistake as Kinzinger, Romney, Liz Cheney, and others are Democrats.

This is true.

People have longed talked about how football is an imitation of war.

Now we a war where people are imitating football fans. I’m expecting pom poms and team jerseys anytime now.

Yes indeed.....

All this building up Zelensky as a hero is all media driven....complete with a actor/comedian well versed in delivering whatever script he’s given and to role play his part....in whatever location will feed that message.

I still go back to what changed that brought this war to the front.
The election of Zelensky and the Biden (Obamas former administration in place)

And further massive armament to Ukraine in the past year or so, and prior to Poland and other Nato nations that they all knew Putin was watching and objecting to.

Stage set and it was a go.

The only people I see talking about engaging Russia are on FR and Twitter.

They really don’t amount to much.

“Right now he is bombing the Russian World to unite it.”

Nope. Ukraine is not part of the Russian world.

“Putin will sue for peace and demand Ukraine renounce all claims on Eastern Ukraine.”

Which is a 19th century way to gain territory.

Russia is one of the big 5 in the UN. There are ways to address and settle the issue in a civilized manner.

There is no reason nor justification for violent invasion over the issue.
