The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.

Good one!
Second word.
.......QUELLE MERDE
I needed a lot of (insert word 8) when I kept trying to find a word 8 that fit into word 2.
Then I discovered the contraction, which if I had noticed it to begin with would have solved the CG in less than a minute.
But looking on the bright side….. where’s the fun in solving too quickly?
The word that fits into the second word pattern is not one that I normally go to.
Most common letter helped.
But yes, enjoy the process! These are sure fun.
Apostrophe word gave me second word and off to the races.
You are absolutely right. I never hurry through them. Someone once said: “Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.”
Yep. I am a knitter. The process is wonderful.
I’m not familiar with the author but the leftover letters are rare consonants (I would know!), so I saw only one possibility.
The contraction gave it away.
Well played sir.
Like I’ve said before, you’re having more fun than the average bear. You need to stop doing these for a couple of days.
A “real” Cryptogram solver will print these off and use a pen.... Just Sayin’
