A woman is in jail after a convenience store clerk was assaulted.
Just before 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Valdosta police responded to the Circle K convenience store, located in the 1800 North Ashley Street, after a citizen called E911 and reported that the store clerk had been assaulted.
When officers arrived on scene, the clerk told police that two subjects entered the store and became angry.
The clerk adds that one of the subjects, later identified as 31-year-old Shatercia Gibbs, began throwing different items at the clerk while damaging the store.
The investigation also showed Gibbs physically assaulted the clerk as he was attempting to get both subjects to leave the store.
Once the clerk was able to get both subjects out of the store, Gibbs went to her vehicle and retrieved a firearm. Gibbs then pointed the firearm at the clerk, who had gone back inside the business and locked the doors.
The store clerk received minor injuries during the incident.
Gibbs was arrested and transported to Lowndes County Jail where she was charged with felony aggravated assault, felony criminal damage to property and battery.

I mean, I could see if it was Springfield. Then we’d all know where it was.
Why did they put up a picture of Bernie Mac?

Right; now I understand; that must be the Quickee Mart, near the Lard Lad’s Donut shop!
Show the lady the revolving door.
Being 30 minutes from Springfield, that made me laugh. You have no clue where I am though.
And I agree, people should put the state in parentheses if it isn't mentioned in the headline.
LOL.. you got it.
It is also near to where Sec Def Lloyd the Stupid hails from.
From the looks of it, pt is white supremacy.
30 posts and nobody mentions the last name? Gibbs me dat!
Shatercia Gibbs-me-dat
Not excusing the writer’s lack of detail, but even my dog know that Valdosta is in Georgia. My dog has never been to Georgia. It’s like Vidalia onions, do you think they come from Kansas?
Maybe Chicago is in Idaho.
Circle K is a convenience store in south Georgia you can stumble into in the middle of the night on the long drive back from Florida, and get a nice cup of hot coffee that is usually pretty good. If you get one of the store’s “K” cups, a re-fill is usually $1.07. We have two of those cups in our RV just for that use on Florida trips.
Yep some people you can’t take anywhere.
