Interesting findings but that picture may be incomplete. I’ve seen other studies where scientists suggested that while marijuana was detrimental in many ways for the young, it actually showed many benefits for older people because it quelled inflammation, inflammation considered to be at the root of almost all chronic diseases that come with aging.

I had a chronic pain issue last year and my niece recommended gummed. She had some and I took half of one. Didn’t do chit for my pain. Plus it made my mind go places that I didn’t want to go. I gave them back to her. It may work for some but not me.
