DURHAM, N.C. - Vice resident Kamala Harris will travel to Durham on Wednesday, according to an announcement from the White House.
Harris will be joined by U.S. Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh to discuss the Biden Administration's investments in union jobs.
A White House task force issued a set of recommendations on Monday that could make it easier for federal workers and contractors to unionize.
The report submitted to Biden included 70 distinct policy proposals, according to a release by the White House. Biden created the task force chaired by Vice President Kamala Harris, with Labor Secretary Marty Walsh as vice chair, through an executive order last April.

The report argues that a decades-long drop in union membership has coincided with a rising share of income going to the top 10% of earners. It further says that most Americans have a favorable impression of unions and would join one if given the option in a vote. Yet the Labor Department reported last month that only 10.3% of workers belonged to a union in 2021, down from 20.1% in 1983.

The way I see it, she is being sent to a place where she is able to meet performance expectations - go to a safe place that is 75% demonkrap, photo op, give a speech to the fawning demonkrap mouthpiece WRAL, talk about “social justice” issues - she can handle all that and cackle too.
In the meantime, our border is out of control, Ukraine is on fire no one asks how things are in Afghanistan, gas prices are approaching almost double since her regime came into residence, store shelves are emptying, lumber prices out the kazoo, real estate market approaching a bubble, interest rates on the way up joblessness around the corner, the “science” on CCP virus has totally flipped, parents are seen as terrorists by her regime, etc etc etc
I don't think the Dems care if she actually accomplishes something on these trips. The purpose is to get some video footage of her "taking charge of the situation" that can be used in future campaign ads.
