Give her plenty of love and patience. It’s not an easy time for the little pooch either. Seven years old is still in her prime.
I bet you’ll both be happy with each other! Gotta love the doggos. If you’re asking a serious question about old dogs I bet there are tons of youtube videos that would be helpful.

there are lots of needy, old, and mentally ill people who crave these kind of dogs.

If it is yappy, then it has owner separation anxiety or knows that its owner is terminal.
Give it lots of treats and affection, and allow it to be a lap dog.
Chihuahuas are nice, I took in one, and she was a yapper.
When the dog starts yapping just pick it up and give it some love and don’t yell, don’t brandish fly swatters and nnewspapers and all that, other stuff just pick it up and tell the dog to relax. Mine was a 4 year old Chihuahua and there was easy to turn it around she became real sweet.

Yeah, just give yourself plenty of positive reinforcements and you’ll find you are able to change your ways.
I would give her a try and set the rules. If it doesn’t work out you can always tell the muslims you are gay and then you won’t have to deal with her anymore.
Of course you can teach an older dog new tricks, but a 7 year old chihuahua/pom is not an old dog. They’re at the prime of their lives. Enjoy!

She hates liberals.
It might be better for both you and the dog’s sanity, to have someone else take the dog. I wouldn’t let a guilt trip ruin the next 5 or more years of my life.
