The US has only been at Defcon 2 once, that was during the Cuban missile crisis. If we are there now, that does raise the eyebrow. Nixon backed down Russia by taking us to 3.

It would be monumentally stupid at this point for the US to be at DefCon 3 or 4. DefCon 2 would be an appropriate level, given the seriousness of the threat.
I’d chalk it up to a stopped clock being right twice a day - but Biden slipped up and publicly stated not once but twice that Putin was going to invade (not likely, not “preparing to invade” but WAS GOING TO INVADE) Ukraine weeks ago while peace talks were ongoing.
Biden WANTED it.
What frightens me even more is that it’s OUR side that’s escalating the issue into nuclear (literally) levels of hysteria. Especially with the talking heads today and the attempt at economic destruction of the USSR.
(Don’t forget that the BLM/LGBT media army has been activated to be pro-Ukraina/anti-Putin messaging on all the intertubes)
My personal take is that Putin has been anti-globalist all along. I suspect that “great reset” button that Hillary touted in the Obama Administration was part of that plan. That’s why the DNC went all out against him in 2014 with the Ukraine and then ramped up war talk with him in 2016.
These actions now are the “globalists” advancing their war to take over Russia now.
The great question mark in the room is... Chy-na. Who’s firmed up an economic agreement with Russia but, so far, has NOT joined in the globalist chorus and offered some tacit support to Russia. I’ve not been able to get a read on whether or not China is part of this globalist communist reset movement - I thought they were but recent actions in the last year make me question it. Xi doesn’t seem to be the type that would turn China over, either.
Regardless - as an 80s kid... I love the leftist hypocrisy that’s ready to drive us into nuclear war.
OK, thanks. I seriously thought the US was the only country to use Defcon codes.

You had to have at least a Secret Clearance to see/read the Official DefCon level for those events. JFK was a level 3.
