And YOU will get Spring Weather before I do! :)
If only I could spend more time on firewood.
Loud hooting at 2 a.m. from back yard woods. Assume it’s an owl. Probably. Powerful vocal cords. Do coyotes ever sound like that?
Enjoy the final frozen days. You’ll miss them when they’re gone
and I’ll be sick of the rain soon and then sick of the heat and the ticks and chiggers after that.
$33.50 Germination Kit (Heat Mat, 72 cell tray, bottom tray, 2” vented dome)
$24.00 Heat Mat Temp Controller (used)
$20.00 Grow Light
$77.50 TOTAL (I was at $100)
I like the 2 inch lid better than the 7 inch for strictly germinating seeds.
I’ve got an NVIDIA Shield TV Pro that doesn’t work that I’m selling on ebay and it’s up to $84 with 3 days to go. I’ve seen non working units go for $200 which is what we paid for it new. Inflation is occasionally a good thing. LOL
I’m going to go ahead and buy one seed starting setup for now and see what the Shield goes for. It will probably pay for a second setup plus assortment of trays. Not bad for something that hasn’t been used in a few years because it’s broken. It won’t boot up. Gets stuck at Android animation. Probably an easy fix for someone that’s into that stuff. I can’t be bothered to learn because I hate android/google anyway. An old laptop running Linux with Kodi and a web browser is working fine as a TV streaming box since all I do is free streaming. I’ll replace it with a single board computer like the Raspberry Pi at some point.
I’m tired of Winter now, too. I can handle it somewhat in December, January, and early February, but by the end of February I’m ready to see signs of Spring that I know are still 6 weeks (or more) away.
Sometimes I think I want to move back to the South, but then when I visit, I miss my beautiful slice of Heaven in central Indiana. Not sure if I will ever do anything but visit the South again. I love the change of seasons, though. Is there a perfect place to live, where you only have snow from November to early February? Sure would be nice to see crocuses and daffodils peeking out soon instead of in a month or more.
