it’s not MEAT that’s the problem.
It’s PROCESSED MEAT. (Which is unfortunately the norm in the USA)
The researchers found that the consumption of energy from carbohydrate crops (grains and tubers) does not lead to greater life expectancy, and that total meat consumption correlates to greater life expectancy, independent of the competing effects of total calories intake, economic affluence, urban advantages, and obesity.
“Humans have adapted to meat-eating from the perspective of their more than two million years evolution,” said Professor Maciej Henneberg, a researcher at the University of Adelaide and the University of Zürich.
SO EAT ALL YOU WANT!!!!!...........
Technically all meat is processed unless you’re buying and butchering your own meat. I think you mean stuff like sausage, bacon, etc. Cheap meat is easier to acquire than choice cuts, and for the price, you better know how to cook those cuts or you’re just throwing away your hard earned dough.
I’m happy to see some studies reinforcing that the human body is not meant to live off of vegetables and grains alone. We are omnivores.
That’s right bacon is bad so is salami.
Get real
Thankfully, the meat that I eat comes from the butcher. I prefer to prepare and cook what I eat rather than eat.
“Cured” meat...meat mixed with nitrates, sweeteners, and/or milk products.
What about the highly processed veggies made to look and taste like meat.
If I want the taste of MEAT I will eat Beef, pork, chicken, deer.
Do any of the meat processors make meat taste like veggies? NO!
