A Cobb County attorney says she was shocked to learn that a one-time close friend, who was a highly paid state official, had been charged with four felony counts of trying to defraud the state by faking two pregnancies. The state Attorney General’s Office obtained the indictment of 43-year-old Robin Folsom earlier this month. Folsom left her job....

Women pull this fake pregnancy all the time to try and snare a man.
In trouble for what? Since when is faking a pregnancy or wedding a crime? Did she get paid for time off or something?
Aaahh! My eyes!
We can assume that she’s a democRAT because if it’s not mentioned in the first few words of the story that she’s a republican she’s a democRAT
Folsom left her job as the top communications official at the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA)
Putting her bizarre mental disorder aside for a moment...she was paid $100K/year in this position...
Does the state of Georgia not offer employees a dental plan?
There are only a few things that can get you fired from a government position. Pay fraud is one of them.
That’s some serious snaggle-tooth stuff there.....
Have you no mercy?
There’s “hitting the wall,” then there’s this, which is a whole other level. Wow.
Haha, I told some people on a website I had a kid once to troll them. They fell for it and were outraged. It was kinda fun.
This chick tried to go pro with that particular prank, however. Four felony counts. Haha, great joke.
She identified as engaged and pregnant. That’s how it works now, right?
What’s the bid deal? She identified as pregnant. I thought we all get to define our own personal reality
I assume you mean to snare the man they are already seeing? Seems like it would be a negative otherwise.
Crazy love.
Here’s my read:
She is a good example of a woman who has been able to use her looks for success since adulthood. When she couldn’t convince a married guy to leave his wife, no matter what... she faked the first one. Then tragedy struck and she ‘lost the baby’. Reconciliation and sympathy, and she tried the same ploy again.
15k of unearned pay wasn’t the reason. She didn’t do it for the money. It was because she simply couldn’t get the man she wanted, and it drove her crazy.
I have seen this movie. If this hadn’t happened and she wasn’t arrested, she would have likely moved into the revenge phase, with fantasies of cutting brake lines.
Which is chicken scratch in government these days. I know a couple that are both in local government positions that get over $200k/year with great benefits each. Government is the place to be if you want to get ahead these days.
Private industry is for suckers!
