Ian Miles Cheong, a Malaysian journalist, tweeted the lesson of Ukraine.
He said, "Do you see what wokeness brings? Weakness. Biden’s administration was more concerned with pronouns than it was with maintaining world peace. Good job. Pat yourselves on the back. Diversity, equity and inclusivity is our strength. Tell your two moms about it."
And that of course was the whole point of wokeness: to bring a mighty nation down. Glenn Reynolds opined, "Of course wokeness brings weakness. That’s why the left has been encouraging it in the West for decades, even as Russia and China have loudly eschewed it."
This is not about human rights. This is about kneecapping America.
The woke don't care about blacks, feminists or transgendereds. Look at how they treat Clarence Thomas and J.K. Rowling. Some of the worst homophobic barbs come out of the mouths of liberals. The woke do not care about rights. They care only about more power for themselves. Pitting people against one another increases the power of the woke.
We weren't woke on D Day. Our soldiers had a job to do, and they destroyed the mightiest army in Europe, while on the other side of the world, our troops destroyed the mightiest army in Asia.
World War 2 ended a little more than 76 years ago. America has been coasting on that feat ever since.
Once the dust settled on the rubble in Europe, America was the only empire left.
We had it all, including Bogie and Bacall. In the 1950s, the GI bill liberated millions of city dwellers to move out to the country where the homes were new and the air was clean.
A matchbox of our own
A fence of real chain link,
A grill out on the patio
Disposal in the sink
A washer and a dryer and an ironing machine
In a tract house that we share
Somewhere that's green.
A generation raised in the Great Depression now had peace and prosperity again. Liberals mocked this accomplishment as Affluenza, as if success were a disease.
Material needs addressed, the nation had the luxury to tackle the thorny issue of racism.
The result was tarring all the suburbanites as racists engaged in white flight from their new black neighbors. Never asked was why the black neighbors left their old neighborhoods.
We also took on air and water pollution. State coalitions took it on, but then Congress and the Nixon administration big-footed it and took over. A new monster named EPA entered the picture. Within 20 years all the goals had been met and exceeded. But once created, a bureaucracy never goes away. With zero proof, the EPA declared carbon dioxide to be a hazard to the planet. Ours is a carbon-based life form. A carbon footprint is a good thing.
Again, both Russia and Red China eschew such worries.
In the 1970s, we began dismantling factories, shipping them to Mexico and overseas. The excuse was inflation. Suddenly wanting a new car every three years and a three-bedroom ranch in the suburbs became an unreasonable demand.
Workers united and elected Ronald Reagan, who choked off the cause of inflation: cheap money. Interest rates ratcheted up to 20% at one point, and unemployment rose. But the fever broke in 1982 and for almost the next 40 years, inflation was at bay.
The decades passed and the nation got softer. We won the Cold War by outlasting the Soviets but instead of celebrating and scaling back our military, we became the world's policeman. I suppose we had to kick the Iraqis out of Kuwait, but did we have to do it in a manner that kept Saddam Hussein in power?
I mean, two years after the war ended, Bush was out and Hussein was still in power.
What we did made little sense. Instead of arresting Bernie Shaw for broadcasting the bombing of Baghdad (and serving as a human shield for Hussein and his lackeys), we hailed him as some sort of hero.
Hello? Edward R. Murrow broadcast from London, not Berlin during the Battle of London.
When 9/11 happened, the first thing we did was lecture people not to be Islamophobic.
9/11 showed the intelligence community was one big Fubar. Instead of firing the idiots in charge, we gave them more power -- power that would 15 years later allow Obama to spy on the political opposition.
Meanwhile, we pretended Red China was a normal nation with an open market and totally without any slaves. Bush 43 approved Red China's membership in the World Trade Organization.
In the 20 years since, Red China has racked up $5 trillion in trade surpluses from the USA alone. That money has built up its military, its infrastructure and its space program.
Our colleges are crap. We have failed to develop new leaders because our political system rotted out.
Biden is president because he was the best Democrats have to offer.
Second-best is Kamala, a semi-literate affirmative action hire.
Then comes Buttigieg whose only accomplishment is being gay, followed by Bernie the Old Hippie, and Warren the Fake Indian.
Our military leadership defied President Trump. The generals cared more about transgender rights than they cared about defending America. Milley is pushing Diversity, Inclusion and Equity over combat readiness.
Everyone in the world knows what is happening. Our military is Woke and Weak.
Putin watched Biden dump Afghanistan and realized Ukraine was his. Chairman Xi eyes Taiwan. What is next?
Tulsi Gabbard tweeted, "This war and suffering could have easily been avoided if Biden Admin/NATO had simply acknowledged Russia’s legitimate security concerns regarding Ukraine’s becoming a member of NATO, which would mean US/NATO forces right on Russia’s border."
NATO was formed to stop the Soviet Union. Once it dissolved, we doubled NATO's size.
We are a nation run by morons. Woke morons at that.
Real Communists don’t care for “wokeness”. It’s a tool for their “useful idiots”.
Joe Biden should show this article to his two husbands who sometimes identify as women.
I think the Biden admin, aka the Rainbow-Flag Cartel Party, is fine with this.
It’s not weakness.
It’s corruption and profiteering.
