Vance has no political experience, so he’s running essentially as an outsider. But his story captured the hearts and minds of millions of Americans with his best-selling book, Hillbilly Elegy, and the Academy Award-nominated Netflix movie adaptation. With searing eloquence, he describes the challenges and hardships facing working-class America, especially heartland communities decimated by economic and cultural decay. Vance provides a rare perspective given his own unpredictable rise from a troubled family and poor communities to an Ivy League graduate degree and professional success.

Is he a Manchurian republican? I'd give him 6 years to prove the naysayers are wrong. If they're right then the Ohio voters will have to go back to work. I think he has his finger on the pulse. The others are just like the rest of them no matter which wing of either party they represent.
I don’t trust him. It would be difficult for him to be worse than Portman.
I trust him. He understands that the USA needs to repatriate industry by any means possible.
*his story captured the hearts and minds of millions of Americans with his best-selling book,*
The key term is ‘hearts and minds.’ We don’t have enough of that touchy-feely stuff on our side. The democrats use it all the time and it works. Ohio is ripe for that stuff as well as Pennsylvania. Just look at the decline in coal and manufacturing. Affected them directly and he knows it.
*I don’t trust him. It would be difficult for him to be worse than Portman.*
If he’s worse than Portman you go back to work. Back stabbers need to pay. Ask Liz.
He’s stealth Assistant Democrat.
You can tell because he changes with the wind.
Two Statements from Vance about six long years ago.
“I’m a never-Trump guy. I never liked him,”
“I might have to hold my nose and vote for Hillary Clinton,”
Sure I trust him. /s He’s saying all the right things now to get the job. I’ve been fooled my whole life by these people. No more.
He cannot pass the litmus test of Trump loyalty.
Neither could Cruz but he came around. If he gets the nomination you in Ohio will all have to go to work. There’s no excuse for losing 2 Ga. senate seats in January if our people that showed up in November show up a 2nd time. Too many here are willing to give away our power. Rats have no need to steal.
My biggest fear is the Republican Party is so split, Tim Ryan (D) ,as “progressive “ as Sandy Cortez, squeaks through,
Ryan and Brown would be a disaster.
Ryan is their best candidate-top tier. We’ll have to support our best candidate whoever he or she is.
