Anti-Trump Republicans to Hold Rival Event to CPAC
American Greatness ^ | 22 Feb, 2022 | Eric Lendrum

Several prominent anti-Trump Republicans, including Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), will be hosting a separate “counterprogramming” event that intends to serve as a rival to the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

As Breitbart reports, the “Principles First Summit” will take place from February 26th to February 27th, the last two days of the larger and more popular CPAC event, which is being held in Orlando, Florida. The anti-Trump event will be held in Washington, D.C. at the National Press Club.

“Principles First is excited to announce a two-day grassroots summit at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on February 26-27, 2022,” the group announced in a statement, “focused on discussing and advancing a more principled politics in the United States.” The group did not specify exactly what kind of “principles” it considers to be best for the country.

“The strength of our republic depends upon the moral conviction of our elected officials,” the vague statement continued. “If we don’t pick trustworthy people to lead us, they will bring the character of the country down with them. Unethical and immoral behavior can never become the norm.”

Besides the two members of Congress, other prominent guests who will be featured include Georgia’s Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan (R-Ga.), Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R-Ga.), and disgraced former Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, who admitted under oath to repeatedly attempting to block the foreign policy of the Trump Administration since he believed it went against a so-called “inter-agency consensus.”

In an interview with CBS, Heath Mayo, the founder of Principles First, referred to the event as the “counterprogramming of CPAC” and said that “We want to come together in a visual show of support for people who have taken stands for ideas when it hasn’t been comfortable.”

I do believe there should be a broad movement of people from all parts of the Political Spectrum that are appalled at the things we are seeing, and work together, and for the time being, put the differences aside, and fight the common enemy.

“Principles First Summit”

It sounds like the name a communist organization would come up with. Calling it exactly the opposite of what it is.

I agree. We need to get together and put the commies in the trash, then get back to American politicking.

So, it’ll be the staff of National Review, some of the writers on Townhall, most of Fox News, Kristol, Goldberg, Shapiro, Benson. Who am I forgetting?

Rove won’t be there, as much as he’d really like to be because he wants people to think he’s actually a Conservative.

Yes. And Mitt Romney will be their featured speaker because the Maverick McCain can’t make it except for his posters plastered all over the walls..

” Yet Democrat Tulsi Gabbard is speaking at CPAC. What is going on in this crazy world?”

You must not listen to Tulsi much. She needs to leave the Democrat party. Having speakers from the opposition party who are outspoken about that party, as Tulsi is, is old political theater.

She has nothing nice to say about Biden, trust me.

The DNC will have Liz Cheney, or some such RINO speak at their soiree.

I’m not seeing a downside to that, really. She has some support. In 2016, in a toe-to-toe match up, on a debate stage, I think she would have given Donald Trump a run for his money. Not saying she would have won, but, I don’t think she would have gotten beat up too bad.

She’s articulate and appeals to that CenterLeft, hipster, voter and there are a lot of them. Take away the commie and radical stuff for a moment. She’s against getting involved in conflicts overseas that don’t have anything to do with the US. She went to Syria, on her own and, as far as she was concerned, learned that the chemical weapons attacks weren’t on Assad. Much to the consternation of Pelosi and the rest of the war mongers in Congress.

Not saying she’s going go to become a hardcore Conservative, but she might be able to crack the door for some.

Interesting article about Cognitive Dissonance:

Neil Cavuto Demonstrates How Cognitive Dissonance Is the Driving Force Behind Pandemic Panic Theater......https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/4040596/posts

Nobody wants to feel stupid or conned, so if they’ve been jabbed and expressed their glee in doing so, getting them to see the evidence that it was a mistake is extremely difficult. As Mark Twain allegedly said, “It’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.”

All you have to do is go on Twitter and see that the dissonance doesn’t only apply to covid panic. What some on the Left, regardless of contrary evidence believe, is absolutely insane.

Having him there is like when he would go to the UN or WEF or any other event where most, if not all, of the people hate him. The organizers have to invite him. He knows the organizers hate him. And he throws it all in the organizers faces.

President Trump gets a standing ovation at CPAC, gets the crowd going, the organizers love it. For they know the attendees have been duped, once again. The attendees actually think the CPAC folks care. So, CPAC gives them what they want and counts the money.

Raffensberer...WOW

They should have invited Kemp, Duncan, Miller and Ralston, as well. Toss in Ducey and Brnovich and they’d be covered.

One has to wonder if Graham will make an appearance. He must be in a tizzy over where to show his face.

Which will draw more media people than actual attendees.

Anyone who knows how this game goes knows what the purpose of this is. All they need is a room full of people for the cameras to counter the CPAC. The Soviet born Vindman and Cheney are a perfect fit. The video is only needed to counter anything happening at CPAC. On the news they can mask out the numbers at CPAC and CommiePAC. There could be 10000 at CPAC and 50 at CommiePAC and the media will portray the commies as a superior group of people.

At least you know what Tulsi is, unlike the folks like McCarthy, who pretends to be our friend, while holding the dagger.
