The clinical trial will shortly start recruiting, but innovative doctors might try this early.

Hopeful, but as the saying goes:

“Doctors have cured every disease known to mouse”

What works in animals often does not in humans.

Animal models? That supposed to make me think they weren’t experimenting on animals? Paging Dr. Fauxchi.

From another article:

"Exogenous arginine is required for growth in some argininosuccinate synthetase (ASS)-deficient cancers. Arginine deiminase (ADI) inhibits growth in various ASS-deficient cancers by depleting arginine. "

My wife was diagnosed with glioblastoma in the brain, a large tumor in lungs, and a small tumor on rib bone. The radiologist did incredible job of zapping her brain tumor. She is still here 4 years after diagnosis. Her hearing and smell is better than double before the radiation treatment. Amazing.

The alternative is certain, excruciating death within two years.

I assume you choose “Death.”

Thank God they didn’t have this when Juan McCain was alive.

I still don’t miss Juan McKeating.

Might I ask what were your wife’s ‘symptoms’ that led to the diagnosis/MRI??

Asking because only after passing out at home ( I had no symptoms/ warning what so ever) and I was ‘ered’ to hospital... MRI ... they said it was a calcium deposit with inflammation around it. I’m 81 and they wouldn’t go in to determine exactly which it is because of other ‘usual’ illnesses/age.

I have had cancer twice before that and I would rather have a tumor than the calcium. Going in to diagnose is the problem I have. I’d like to know what it is.

Thanks

She had zero symptoms until one day had pain in rib area. We figured it was a strained muscle or tendon. But the pain did not go away for 4 weeks. So she made appointment to see doctor who ordered x-ray. The x-ray showed the mass in lungs. Then a PET scan found the brain tumor and also in lymph nodes. She had chemo + Keytruda every 3 weeks for almost 4 years plus several radiation treatments for the tumors as well. I talked her out of quitting the chemo 4 months back which causes horrible nausea and lack of appetite. She is no longer nauseated, eating much better and actually we did 4 cruises recently and she actually enjoyed the food. We will rely on radiation if any new growths show up during scans.

I asked because I sometimes take L-arginine (heart-relaxes blood vessels).

Around 35 years ago, 15 years after I became interested in the use of supplements to improve health, a friend had an attack of shingles (herpes zoster). With book research I discovered something called the lysine/arginine ratio. My friend bought some lysine to take which helped the shingles heal quickly. Lysine is also helpful for herpes simplex attacks—cold sores, and genital herpes. I turns out my friend had recently changed his diet and was talking a lot of something (I think brewers yeast powder) which was supplying too much arginine in his diet. So what may be good for herpes viruses may also be good for combination therapy with virus caused cancers.
