Freedom Convoy truckers headed for DC plan to clog the capital's vital Beltway interstate - with one likening the protest to a deadly boa constrictor.
Bob Bolus, who's leading a fleet of transports from Pennsylvania to Washington on Wednesday, plans to help shut down the Capital Beltway on Friday in protest of vaccine mandates, pandemic-related restrictions, and more.
The 64 mile road - whose formal name is the I-495 - encircles the capital, and is its most vital ground transportation link. One lane will be left open for emergency vehicles, but Bolus has said 'tough luck' to commuters.
'The Beltway will be shut down,' Bolus told Fox News. 'I'll give you an analogy of that of a giant boa constrictor that basically squeezes you, chokes you, and then swallows you. And that's what we're going to do to DC.'
'We will not compromise anybody's safety or health. As far as if they [people] can't get to work, geez, that's too bad.'
Bolus said in a flyer that he's leading a group of truckers from Harrisburg to Washington to take a stand against President Joe Biden's 'tyrannical machine's attempt to remove our inalienable rights.'
His team is among numerous groups of truckers who are headed to DC in protest of President Joe Biden's administrative policies.

I urge any convoy or protest to not park or stand still. Constant kinetic movement is a must if you want to avoid vehicles being seized or people getting injured and captured in these pointless face offs with brigade lines.

Waste of time e to protest in Washington. Better to go to selected state capitols and cut off traffic to high impact areas.

If the clogged highway is impeding traffic, which would include emergency vehicle like ambulances, that would seem to be compromising safety and health, would it not?
This guy is setting himself up to be sued out of financial existence.
From my experiences, the DC Beltway is almost always clogged anyway. Freakin’ parking lot.
I never did the five-day-a-week beltway commute thing,
but years ago I used to spend most of my weekends
in Virginia so I experienced many a Friday afternoon
rush hour there.
I also became pretty good at avoiding the DC area
altogether on those trips - swing either east or
west and go around the entire mess.
