Those roads are racist, why bother? /s
They’re much too busy using those gas taxes (just like the rest of the states’) paying off their buddies and having parties. To Hell with the peons...
Democrat run states and real science and engineering are complete strangers.
Feggedabowdit!
Lansing has a different meaning here in Kansas. If there were any justice, it would have to be greatly enlarged to house all the politicians that have earned a stay. Actually, I’m thinking of Leavenworth, but Lansing will do too.
Gretch has other priorities, like getting ready to run for president.
Biden’s infrastructure bill will be as useful at the UFO program is but they all get as piece of the cake.
Can’t do any bridge or road work due to environmental issues ya know fleas tick and lice will be put in harms way.
Michigan also allows for more weight per axle and a GVW far, far exceeding any other state in the union as well. We wanted the heavy industry that came with the automotive centers here, now we are paying the price for it.
I do think there are ways Michigan can help eliminate some of it though. We lived on a road called Kensington in Brighton for 2 generations. The top of the hill of that road is the GM proving grounds, and a crap ton of gravel pits and the gravel trains that come down that hill at 60+ would be impounded if they ran in any other state like they do there.
Allowing the gravel trains to carry so much weight on our bridges no matter how many axles they have is why they and our roads are so bad. Limit it to the trucks that NEED to run that heavy only and reduce the payload on all the others to a reasonable weight like other states impose.
Concentrate on Bridges.
But the rent’s too high!
I know, put them under the bridges!
Oh, they’re already there.
Never mind.
A few years ago the city of Atlanta was running out of water during a drought across the South East. They sued Tennessee, Alabama and South Carolina. In the lawsuit against Tennessee they stated that hostile Indians made it too dangerous to mark the border far enough north to include the river in what is now Chattanooga. In fact Georgia had built in provisions for supporting the infrastructure financially almost a hundred years ago but the politicians had diverted the funds to pet vote buying programs.
How’s that trillion dollars Build Back Better slogan working for you?
I thought Shitmer raised the gas tax to fix the potholes? Time for the Rino wimps to start investigating what she did with the money.
The Zilwaukee Bridge is probably due for another collapse it has been 40 years.
I thought “roads and bridges” was their damn buzzword for passing their insane infrastructure bill.
