The President of the Republic spoke by telephone with the President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Vladimir Putin, on Sunday, 20 February.

They agreed on the following points:

- the resumption of work within the framework of the Normandy format on the basis of the exchanges and proposals made by Ukraine in recent days.

- intensive work to enable a meeting of the trilateral contact group to be held in the coming hours with the aim of obtaining a ceasefire commitment from all stakeholders on the line of contact.

- the need to give priority to a diplomatic solution to the current crisis and to do everything possible to achieve it. To this end, intense diplomatic work will be carried out in the coming days and weeks. The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jean-Yves LE DRIAN, will meet his counterpart Mr. LAVROV in the coming days and several consultations will be conducted in Paris to this end.

- this diplomatic work should make it possible to make progress on the basis of the latest exchanges by involving all the stakeholders (Europeans, allies, Russians and Ukrainians) in order to lead, if the conditions are met, to a meeting at the highest level with a view to defining a new order of peace and security in Europe.

- in order to carry out this work in serious conditions, the two Heads of State have made firm commitments to carry out all useful actions to avoid escalation, reduce risks and preserve peace.

Harris/Biden usurped? LOL

Original source for the press release:

https://www.infowars.com/posts/putin-and-macron-agree-on-measures-to-halt-escalation-in-ukraine/

"During their Sunday phone conversation requested by Paris, the leaders agreed to resume work within the framework of the Normandy format, which consists of French, German, Russian, and Ukrainian leadership. It was also decided that a meeting of the trilateral contact group would be held “in the next few hours” in order to “obtain a commitment from all the stakeholders” to cease fire on the line of contact.

A meeting between French and Russian ministers of foreign affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian and Sergey Lavrov, would take place “in the coming days” with diplomatic work due to intensify in general, Paris said. Russia’s Foreign Ministry later told RT that the call is planned for Monday, since Le Drian was not immediately available.

According to the French presidency, it would involve all the stakeholders, i.e. the Europeans, allies, Russians, and Ukrainians, and would be poised, subject to conditions met, to make possible “a meeting at the highest level to define a new order of peace and security in Europe.”

Footnote: As far as the Europeans, Russians and Ukranians are concerned, the US is not a stakeholder. Looks like a huge slap in the face to Harris/Biden, delivered via a massive diplomatic insult.

Way to go, democrat voters & ballot stuffers. /s

Whatever they claim Trump did..did he do it all by himself?
Do they claim there were many people helping Trump?
Seems like it would take people in intelligence to pull off anything.
You know like what Osama and Hitlery did.

Note: The site was first crawled by archie.org at 8:07 am EST, or 2:07 pm Paris time. The phone call probably occurred sometime during the morning, Paris time.

I’d have loved to be a fly on the wall in the Oval Office this morning.

I don’t know which way the winds blow on FR lately. I’ve not been around much.

But how thrilled would we be if Putin and Russia made an alliance with Mexico to defend them from foreign attacks?

What if one day (we already do..the border, cartels) we had a reason to go into Mexico with our forces?

And it meant going to war with Russia as a result of the treaty?

It would suck, wouldn’t it?

We don’t even control our own borders. Let’s do that before defending Ukraine’s borders and dems’ (and R’s) bribes from Ukraine govt.

I was going to say something else but I forgot.

That’s what happens when it’s been 22 years since one joined FR. Age...

all the stakeholders, i.e. the Europeans, allies

Would point out that the US is an ally and the US is NATO.

What Putin is doing in Ukraine is what he has learned from watching Trump. If you want negotiations to go your way you have to show you mean business.

Ukraine and Russia seek a plausible 3rd party group to certify Ukraine’s capitulation.

No aggressive invasion.

Ukraine gets with the program after realizing they have no other option.

I’ve held that position since long before Trump.

All we’re doing is driving Russia to ally with China, just so deep state can keep the money flowing.

Biden’s “Sabre rattling” is equivalent to a kid showing up with a toy light Sabre when the opponent has an actual sword.

It’s probably more akin to the Russian Empire than the USSR.

But, yes.
