I thought that with Nazis in the news with what is going on in Canada and some comparing the World Economic Forum to the Germain party, this would be a good time to see if any FREEPERS viewed this thing from the History Channel. I think it is still streaming on Amazon.
It is quite jaw-dropping and adds additional evidence to the rumors about many top Nazis relocating to South America. It adds evidence of poison gas factories and infrastructure projects like hydroelectric power plant construction.
I was surprised this information was not more well known.
Probably it was not a good idea to nominate someone whose father had been a Nazi.
Hitler was the sort of person who would kill himself rather than risk captuer or live in hiding.
Also his ego would not let him stay hidden for long!
I saw it a few years ago. It was very interesting, and made me think twice about the official narrative.
Hitler died in the bunker.
The fact that we've never heard about any good coming from it, tells me that it would have been better, not to baby and protect known murderers. Have any of those records been declassified yet, or will they ever be declassified? The more our intelligence agencies hide from us, the more you have to question what it is they are actually doing. Based on what has come out about them these past 5-6 years, you have to wonder if that corruption was part, and parcel of their beginnings.
You’re judging it with 77 years post-event eyes.
Do you experience the Cold War?
At the time we were desperate, and I mean desperate for on the ground intelligence on the USSR. Many were convinced WWIII was imminent.
Gehlen was never associated with any war crimes. “Hiring” Gehlen was no different than using former WWII Wehrmacht & Luftwaffe leaders and generals to stand up the modern Bundeswehr and Luftwaffe. The post-script on the Gehlen Organization which became the BND was their military and industrial reporting was good to excellent their political intelligence reporting poor.
The good social democrat Konrad Adenauer forced Gehlen when he was the first director of the BND to hire Sicherheitsdienst (Security Service of the Reichsführer-SS) men to deal with ‘the avalanche of subversion hitting them from East Germany’.
Desperate times (or at least what was perceived at the time as desperate times) requires one to do desperate things. Looking back on it is easy to do and therefore easy to make superficial moral judgements. Hindsight is always 20-20!

Yes I did. I was born in 1947. Describe desperate? Desperate enough to trust cold-blooded murderers that you'd just finished facing on the battlefield, to give you actual intelligence? That's pretty naive. And some of them were likely double agents.
Here is an article. https://www.wired.co.uk/article/nuclear-island The scientist wasRonald Richter.
I found out about nuclear island from a TV series “ Abandoned Places “ I think that is the shows name. It is amazing abandoned structures that are highlighted.
Well, that’s history for you. Perhaps you can protest like the BLM’ers do. Maybe tear down a statue of Ike or something.
You like labeling people don't you. So I'm a lefty, because I don't agree with the actions, and decisions that intelligence bureaucrats made decades ago? Are you that narrow-mined that I'm not allowed my own perspective of it? You might not like it, but gee, that's too bad.
Towards the end of the series I thought it really started to delve into BS. The most compelling episode to me was S1E3 where they discovered the underground route to Tempelhof.
I like labeling no more than you do.
Try being less sensitive, the comment was meant more in humor then a rebuke.
But really think about it! Applying today’s standards to a situation you didn’t directly experience. Criticizing actions taken to solve a critical national security problem is not too far removed from those who conveniently second guess the Japan atomic bombing as well as other things.
Humor? You have a strange sense of humor then. Seems to be an awful lot of assumptions in that humor.
Thanks, but I don't need a lecture from you or anyone else. I choose to read and research history on my own, then make my own mind up. After all, it is a free country, or so we are led to believe.
Thanks !
Very interesting at the little Laugh-In Nazi would say!
Well, I think the weakest storyline involved Hitler himself. However, the evidence showing other high-level Nazis escaping and the organizations they started in South America was interesting.
That being said, they did discredit the suicide theory of Hitler’s demise.
