From the 18th of this month through the 25th, national leaders are meeting in Munich in an apparent effort to deescalate the situation in Ukraine. The administration has pulled together its putative allies to forestall what it claims is an imminent threat by Russia to invade Ukraine. In fact, it discouraged (apparently unsuccessfully) Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky from attending on the ground that war could start any minute and his absence from Ukraine would be taken as flight. Heading the U.S. delegation is Vice-President Kamala Harris, which hardly comforts me. She threatens severe economic sanctions against Russia if they invade. (But this is from the very same administration which has done so much to strengthen Putin’s hand -- for example, by scotching the Israeli gas pipeline to Europe, giving a thumbs up to the Russian gas pipeline to Europe and reducing in every possible way U.S. energy production, all of which enriches Russia. President Trump used economic warfare and would have allowed completion of the domestic and Israeli pipelines and prevented the construction of the Russian pipeline to limit Russian power over Europe, as opposed to the saber rattling from the present White House.) The one thing you can count on with the Biden-Harris administration is inconsistency and incoherence.

The symbolism of this conference being held in Munich is disgusting.
Question: How does Bidet have any say over the Israel pipeline to Europe besides foreign aid? Licensing?
Why is it that when I read the headline and initial sentence of this news I immediately think of sentences from the book 1984 and how they were always at war with Eurasia?
NATO has become a Country Club with Europe’s dues being paid for by America. Biden has decided to sit this one out by sending that well known diplomat Kamala Harris to represent uS interest, which means that he has decided on MRGA, or “Make Russia Great Again” by his incredible ineptitude. It is almost like he and Vladdie ‘have a dream’ together of MRGA.

NATO is too freaking big for its britches. It should just shut up and sit in the corner. Russia is not going to invade Ukraine. And Ukraine needs to deal with its own hellacious corruptoin.

If I were Russia, contemplating an invasion of Ukraine, or otherwise coercing it, I would first stop supplying natural gas to Ukraine and the pipeline network in Ukraine that supplies Europe. Shutting down your target in the middle of Winter, seems like a standard opening for an invasion. Does the fact that this has not been done demonstrate anything about Biden’s intelligence assessments of the matter?

It is bizarre that in a security conference over Ukraine - the USA told Ukraine’s President - DON’T COME
What’s also telling is that he ignored the USA, and attended anyway. We also know that Zelensky and his defense minister have continuously rejected and contradicted USA public statements about the immanence of the Russian threat.
What you can guess from this is that Ukraine is viewed as a strategic tool for the USA to confront Russia. The welfare of Ukraine and its people is NOT a top priority. And also - the USA wants Zelensky to be a puppet - and he’s not cooperating
