Not much of a description but it’s basically a jet powered leaf blower. It’s about as funny as you think it could be…but also cool to have it get as a Christmas gift!

What a wuss. Should’ve pointed it straight down.

Kind of stating the obvious here, but that thing sounds like a jet airliner about to take off.

Those little jet engines are pretty pricey. Like $5K for a 20 lbs thrust unit.

But that it is one of those engines that they mount in model airplanes. :)
They make some pretty cool stuff these days. But that the engine is not cheap.

Probably similar to a full sized engine. Very high temperatures and pressure and it must be balanced perfectly.

Why on Earth would anyone want a leaf blower that you have to lean into in order to keep from getting blown away?

You have to deal with Newton’s opposite reaction law with leaf blowers. You get lots of air movement as well as thrust.

Does it have afterburner or do you still have to bag them?

Check how much fuel he used just in that short burst.

I kept waiting for him to the blown offscreen (i.e., spoof).
Impressive thrust.

I noticed that too. The fuel level went down noticeably.
I still want one. The two or three things I could semi-reasonably do with it in no way justify the cost, noise, danger, etc. But I still want one.
