San Francisco recalls 3 school board members: 'a clear message'

San Francisco residents overwhelmingly approved of a vote Tuesday to recall three of the city’s school board members, election officials said.

Critics, including San Francisco Mayor London Breed, argued the members - school board President Gabriela López, Vice President Faauuga Moliga and Commissioner Alison Collins - pushed progressive politics rather than act in the best interest of children during the pandemic, and voters agreed, according to the San Francisco Department of Elections.

"The voters of this city have delivered a clear message that the school board must focus on the essentials of delivering a well-run school system above all else," Breed said in a statement after the vote. "San Francisco is a city that believes in the value of big ideas, but those ideas must be built on the foundation of a government that does the essentials well."

In San Francisco, one of the country's most liberal cities, Democrats were split over the recall effort.

The mayor, who is now responsible for appointing new board members to fill the vacancies until another election in November, also praised the parents who initiated the effort.

The parents "were fighting for what matters most - their children," she said.

KQED education reporter asked San Francisco Bd of Ed
President Gabriela López about the role race played in the recall.

Gabriela López inanely said: “ Obviously that’s an important question, and I’m not going to say that we’re not noticing that this is a recall against people of color, and it’s against people who have also been doing a lot of work to support those communities across our city who are often not in these spaces. So, I do believe if it wasn’t someone with my background, my experience, my understanding or cultural understandings, I don’t think I would be getting as much pushback as I am now.”

“People might disagree, but I think a lot of the issues that we’re facing have to do with who’s in a position of power right now, who isn’t usually.........”

Huh? Come again?

Will Merrick Garland announce a plan to seize the bank accounts and cancel the insurance policies of the voters who voted for the recall?

It’s the Trudeau thing to do.

Dumped member Faauuga Moliga, SFUSD Bd of Ed VP,
was asked what role race played in the recall movement?

He stupidly responded:

“As the first Pacific Islander to ever run for the school board, it’s critical. One of the reasons I ran is because Pacific Islanders were not doing well. And the reason why they were not doing well was because there’s a lot of systemic barriers that have really been a hindrance for the growth of Pacific Islanders in the city. So having a voice at the table and being able to advocate for things like the Fa’a Sāmoa Initiative, the Samoa Community Development (Center) learning hub, those things just don’t show up if you don’t have a seat at the table.

In terms of being equitable and being able to serve all your constituents and families that live in the city, you have to have representation, especially for those groups that are marginalized the most. And so race, it really matters to public education.”

They are shameless liars. They must be rooted out of everywhere they are. And the brainwashed students need a heavy dose of reality. The mayor of sf is a farce and must be rooted out also.
The ousted school board members will go somewhere else and keep on lying. They won’t stop till they are economically squashed by their own “success” in achieving their false ideal of utopia.

And the reason why they were not doing well was because there’s a lot of systemic barriers that have really been a hindrance for the growth of Pacific Islanders [any particular culture] in the city.
***The reason is that that particular culture doesn't value education.
From my home page
------------------------------------------------------------------ Culturism.

The problem isn't racism. Race cannot be changed. The problem is Culture. Culture is the thing that can be changed. None of us, including obambam, and others can change the color of their skin but we can change our culture we choose to uphold. The key is to uphold positive aspects of our own and others' culture, and reduce the negative aspects.
Some cultures are superior to others. An example is San Diego vs. Tijuana. They're 5 miles apart, separated by a simple fence. On one side is a shiitehole and on the other is a pleasant enough place to live. Same climate, same location, the only difference is that fence that separates 2 distinct cultures -- one of which millions of people clamor to get into and the other of which people try to get out of.

Even obambam is culturist: "Parents have to... eradicate the slander that says a black youth with a book is acting white." ~Barack Obama , 2004 Democratic National Convention ___________________________________________________________________

I wasn’t sure how this was going to go - I was in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago and this was ALL over the TV airwaves - the “throw the bastards out” had the most ads.

Good to see. Good to see....

This is not good. She'll replace them with the same racist Commies that were just ousted.

Sour Grapes, nothing more.

San Francisco is full of wealthy people who can’t send their children to the local school - literally - they’re assigned according to race.

I have immediate family in the city - one of the kids turned school aged and was sent to a school across town in a horrible area - they live across the street from an elementary school and the kid wasn’t allowed to attend.

Private school immediately - most who live there can well afford it.

SF might be very liberal but the parents there want the best education for their children.
This is something to keep a close eye on.

The “clear message” will be those who replace them. My guess is more of the same.

Libtards just don’t get it. They are who they are and that will never change.
