The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.

I struggled on that one. Kept changing the one letter words.
That is where I am at, but still struggling.
Me too…… I kept changing the one letter words until it finally dawned on me what the first one had to be if the 2nd word and the author was what I thought they were. This was a hard one!
A little Clue: trust what you think the most used letter should be.
Didn’t my clue help?
LOL…. The word “pirate” fit the number of letters for author’s name, so I fooled around with that for a while. After solving the whole thing I could finally see how your clue fit in.

(author should go back to spelling class)
“ A little Clue: trust what you think the most used letter should be.”
Yep. That gave me the author’s name. And the rest worked out just fine.
That was antique speak.
I get it, but next thin ya know, nikos’ll have us solven fer southern drawl or Latin. Treadin on a slippery slope....
as long as he doesn’t posteth in Latin or Greek!
I would not have cracked this one without your clue.
TGTKYK is the key, but it still took a while!

Took a long time, a few words not in common use confused things
Does anyone read when I post these? I said this was going to be a Tuffy.
No, I do not.
I try to avoid any clues, so I jump straight to post #1 and look at nothing else until I'm done.

I have sometimes found the ones called easy to be a b!tch, and vice versa, but call them as you see it. My brain decides how stupid I am each morning.
