Senate Bill 83, called the Save Women’s Sports Act and sponsored by Sen. Robby Mills, directs the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Board of Control to pass regulations banning those identified as males on their birth certificates from participating on girls’ sports teams. The measure passed the Senate Education Committee on a party-line 9-3 vote.
Current KHSAA policies allow transgender student-athletes to compete on teams based on their gender identities if they have undergone sex reassignment before puberty or undergone such procedures and take hormonal therapies.

Kentucky as a state is slightly conservative even though 90% of the state is red. Louisville almost cancels out the rest of the state they are so left.
The one Momma arguing against the bill amazes me…her brat is EIGHT. How does an 8 year old know about sexuality yet?
A vote for sanity, how refreshing.

Fortunately, the only Branch controlled in this state as the governorship. The other two branches are pretty highly Republican. That’s because the representative system protects us from things like Louisville.
Women voters destroyed my military.
Why should I care one bit about inferior sporting competitions?...
So if the former Attorney General comes out as transgendered the headline could read
Bill Barring Bill Barr Clears....
In a sane world the medical professionals who failitate genmder confusions, especially the mutilators, would be penalized.
What about people that change their birth certificates? Use DNA to confirm sex.
In a sane world Transgenders would be given a nice new jacket with sleeves that go around the back, and a new room with soft padded walls.
Or a bill barring bill bar from having the taxpayers pay his bar bill...
Bill Barring Bill Barr Bar Bill Clears...
What is ironic to me is I remember how hard women fought to get full equality in sports. Even though attendance and performance didn’t warrant it they got everything the wanted:
Pay for coaches
Equal practice time
Equal facilities
Equal pep rallies, news reporting
Equal scholarships
Etc.
Now it just amazes me to see how relatively silent feminists are on this (with some exceptions to be sure). This could destroy everything they won.
Meanwhile dad’s are standing guard.
A Bill to prevent a non-existent species from participating in women’s sports. Not really necessary.
Why not simply enforce current laws i.e. men in men sports, women in women sports? Trans anything doesn’t exist.
LOL
That bill would affect the deficit negatively.
Barr: I just drink to forget.
Friend: What is it you’re trying to forget?
Barr: Don’t know. I forgot a long time ago.
The NCAA might threaten to boycott North Dakota. Not a CHANCE it would be able to boycott Kentucky.
KY just became a top draw for female college athletes.
There is some legal fill that needs to be in the bill, because some other states are pushing through laws allowing birth certificates to be changed. That and other hanky panky needs to be accounted for.
More immediately, interstate sports NGOs will also want to interfere, so there needs to be some codified means to stop this. And while they’re at it, to confront leftist corporations trying to coerce the state as well.
The governor is a Demon Rat, right? They’ll have to have a veto proof majority.
Yep, it’s quite odd.
Camille Paglia is a lesbian feminist, but she sometimes speaks the truth.
But barely.
