Free Speech Declared As Terrorism Threat By US Department Of Homeland Security

In a move at suppressing alternate media and censorship, Free speech has been declared as a terrorism threat by US Department of Homeland Security. The DHS claims that there have been deceptive narratives around COVID-19 mandates or vaccines.

Owing to “false and misleading narratives,” misinformation, and “conspiracy theories,” the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced an elevated terrorism danger on February 7.

“The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors,” the DHS bulletin said.

The agency didn’t actually say who is to blame for the suspected spread of misinformation or disinformation, whether foreign or domestic forces.

“Mass casualty attacks and other acts of targeted violence conducted by lone offenders and small groups acting in furtherance of ideological beliefs and/or personal grievances pose an ongoing threat to the nation,” the DHS went on to say, while adding that some people are attempting to “sow discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.”

The bulletin claimed that some people are advocating violence towards key infrastructure, faith-based organizations such as churches or synagogues, colleges, government employees or buildings, as well as other targets.

The DHS claims that there have been deceptive narratives around COVID-19 mandates or vaccines, and that certain people have exploited COVID-19 mandates or vaccines to launch attacks since 2020, as an example of important aspects that supposedly attribute to the elevated threat environment. The agency didn’t go into detail or provide any additional information to back up its claims. Online charges of electoral fraud were also mentioned by the DHS, but no further specifics or evidence were provided.

The agency said that “foreign terrorist organizations and domestic threat actors continue to amplify pre-existing false or misleading narratives online to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions. It said violent extremists, including the individual who recently launched an attack against the synagogue in Texas, highlight “the continuing threat of violence based upon racial or religious motivations, as well as threats against faith-based organizations.”

According to the advisory, the ISIS terrorist organization and its allies “may issue public calls for retaliation due to the strike that recently killed ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi.”  Al-Qurayshi was murdered during an operation in northern Syria, according to the Biden administration.

A recent risk to black institutions and universities across the United States was also included in the warning.

“Domestic violent extremists have also viewed attacks against U.S. critical infrastructure as a means to create chaos and advance ideological goals, and have recently aspired to disrupt U.S. electric and communications critical infrastructure, including by spreading false or misleading narratives about 5G cellular technology,” the bulletin continued.

The heightened risk warning will end on June 7, 2022, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Not sensitive at all.
It just interesting how you avoid answering a question.

It was an innocent question I just wanted to understand what you meant by “... Israelite tuff guys Garland and Mayorkas take care of them mean trucksters. ....”.

Inquiring minds want to know!

Who the hell are you to quiz me about anything is the real question, Mr. Arrogance.

Ever notice that about yourself?

Like Yagoda you see yourself as Grand Inquisitor, and all must rollover when you clap.

That’s what inquiring minds really wanna know, Comrade Dzherzinsky

We’re all seditionists at this point.

The feral government almost completely turned against the citizens is surely a sign of desperation.

What relevance is the word ““... Israelite ...” to “... Garland and Mayorkas...” ?

I was just trying to understand what you meant by that?

This is a discussion site, in discussions you ask people questions if you don't understand their statements. That's what I did. Sometimes one has to to explain references if one wants to be clear and avoid misinterpretation. I am trying to understand what your meaning was so I can avoid misinterpreting it.

” Edward Wilson: The United States of America, the rest of you are just visiting”

Under section titled “Stay Informed & Prepared” in the hot link.
“Keep yourself safe online and maintain digital and media literacy to recognize and build resilience to false or misleading narratives.”

As an educated Constitutionalist I would like to inform the destroyers that we do recognize and study digital (Twitter) and media (fake news) literacy, starting about 30 years ago. We know exactly how to keep informed & prepared. (keep your power dry Patriots).

Sedition Act passed during World War I

President Woodrow Wilson, in conjunction with congressional leaders and the influential newspapers of the era, urged passage of the Sedition Act in the midst of U.S. involvement in World War I. Wilson was concerned about the country’s diminishing morale and looking for a way to clamp down on growing and widespread disapproval of the war and the military draft that had been instituted to fight it.

Targets of Act were typically individuals who opposed the war effort
The provisions of the act prohibited certain types of speech as it related to the war or the military. Under the act, it was illegal to incite disloyalty within the military; use in speech or written form any language that was disloyal to the government, the Constitution, the military, or the flag; advocate strikes on labor production; promote principles that were in violation of the act; or support countries at war with the United States.

The targets of prosecution under the Sedition Act were typically individuals who opposed the war effort, including pacifists, anarchists, and socialists. Violations of the Sedition Act could lead to as much as twenty years in prison and a fine of $10,000. More than two thousand cases were filed by the government under the Espionage Act of 1917 and the Sedition Act of 1918, and of these more than one thousand ended in convictions.

Court upheld Sedition Act convictions against First Amendment challenges
The Supreme Court upheld the convictions of many of the individuals prosecuted. Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. established the “clear and present danger” test in Schenck v. United States (1919). In upholding Socialist Charles Schenck’s conviction, Justice Holmes wrote that “the most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man in falsely shouting fire in a theatre and causing a panic.” The Court also unanimously upheld convictions in Debs v. United States (1919) and Frohwerk v. United States (1919).

In Abrams v. United States (1919), the Court reviewed the conviction under the act of Jacob Abrams, who, along with four other Russian defendants, was prosecuted for printing and distributing leaflets calling for workers to strike in an effort to end military involvement in the Soviet Union. The Court in late 1919 upheld the conviction.

However, in this instance Holmes, along with Justice Louis D. Brandeis, dissented from the majority, arguing that the “clear and present danger” test was not met under the circumstances arising in the case. Specifically, Holmes felt that Abrams had not possessed the necessary intent to harm the U.S. war effort. In contrast to his majority opinion in Schenck, Holmes’s dissenting opinion in Abrams urged that political speech be protected under the First Amendment.

The Sedition Act of 1918 was repealed in 1920, although many parts of the original Espionage Act remained in force.

This also recalls the time that janet “incompetent”, former DHS queen under the Messiah, declared her own list of domestic terrorists.

-- The founding fathers were the original terrorists and they created the means with which to continue that terrorism. --

The Declaration of Independence (celebrated on July 4) is literally a revolutionary document.

The Constitution created a federal government that has run amok.

They described the democrat party members!

FTA: “Mass casualty attacks and other acts of targeted violence conducted by lone offenders and small groups acting in furtherance of ideological beliefs and/or personal grievances pose an ongoing threat to the nation,” the DHS went on to say, while adding that some people are attempting to “sow discord or undermine public trust in U.S. government institutions.”

Yes, yes, yes... I know...

It is becoming clearer everyday that our entire .gov has been corrupted and is against the people. The Canadian trucker ordeal will sooner than later be repeated here, through a much different venue. Revolution against our corrupted government is on the horizon. Everyone realizes our DHS, FBI, .gov in general does not have Americans best interest in mind. There is not enough of “them” to stop what is brewing, nor contain the backlash. History proves they will become more authoritarian, but they will lose, violently if they decide to use force. Their days are numbered. Stay tuned.

“The Deep State becomes more and more totalitarian with each passing day!”

It doesn’t change the fact that 99% of the deep state bureaucracy is composed of low-IQ, affirmative action, fat slobs who squat at their desks all day, stuffing their fat faces with 1 lb. bags of potato chips and guzzling two-liter bottles of Coke. (If you don’t believe me, take a walk thru any federal bureaucrat office.)

The sooner people realize that, the sooner people can tell the fat slob deep state to ESAD.
