Cerebral venous thrombosis is a rare form of cerebral circulatory disorder that, unlike classic stroke, more often affects younger people. For unknown reasons, blood clots (thrombi) form in cerebral veins, obstructing blood flow and causing damage to brain tissue. In the spring of 2021, cerebral vein thrombosis came to public attention as a very rare side effect of Corona vaccination with vector-based vaccines. In the meantime, however, epidemiological studies have shown that patients with COVID-19 are at a much higher risk for this serious complication.
The researchers specifically sought active substances to block such cerebral vein thromboses. A blood clot is formed by the combination of two processes: plasmatic coagulation and platelet activation. Treatment of venous thrombosis generally relies on heparin, as an inhibitor of plasmatic coagulation. However, in the cerebral venous thromboses studied here in animal experiments, heparin had only a comparatively small protective effect. Notably, heparin is the standard medication in the acute treatment of patients with cerebral venous thrombosis, except when it occurs as a complication associated with corona vaccination.
The scientists therefore focused on platelet receptors. When these were blocked in advance, cerebral venous thrombosis did not develop. "The most interesting finding, however, was that inhibition of platelets by blocking the GPIIb/IIIa receptor, was extremely effective even after the onset of neurological symptoms, i.e. in the acute course of the disease," says Vanessa Göb. The group showed that the receptor blockade immediately stopped the formation of blood clots in the cerebral veins, the treated animals recovered completely and no bleeding complications occurred.
Prof. Guido Stoll adds, "These results were surprising and may pave the way for the use of GPIIb/IIIa blockers in those patients in whom cerebral venous thrombosis progresses despite heparin treatment, often leading to death. GPIIb/IIIa blockers are already approved for other cardiovascular diseases."

I’m ready to totally forget about Covid19, and I’ve been ready for almost two years.
If it had never been identified as a particular coronavirus, and no one was the wiser, this entire “pandemic” would have gone unnoticed.
But politicians and lobbyists saw ways of working it to their advantage.
Please everyone - just drop it.
Bttt
The vaccine causing the clots in rare cases is the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19, which is the only viral vector vaccine currently available in the U.S. under emergency use authorization by FDA. This vaccine uses a human adenovirus, Ad26, as the viral vector, and encodes for a stabilized variant of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein.
Stupid comment. So why do you click on the thread if it offends you so grievously? This discovery is fascinating and potentially life saving. Probably not as interesting as the insides of beer bottle caps to you.

“So why do you click on the thread if it offends you so grievously”
Duh. You can’t very well leave a comment without clicking on it - and I wasn’t “grievously offended” - just disappointed.
You people seem determined to help the Left keep the Covid fear-mongering narrative alive.
Just as with “critical race theory” and “man-made climate change”, we need to completely ignore their so-called “pandemic” - not spread their propaganda for them.
Great info. My husband and I had Covid..4 weeks later he gets 3 stents after having an MI. Now, to be fair, he has had a 5 way bypass, a previous stent.
We are exploring the inflammatory treatment because lowered cholesterol wxstatins in not preventative.
He had Covid pneumonia as confirmed by 2 CTs of his lungs.
So if you know someone with a cardiac history who gets covid.. beware.
2 cardiologist by the bedside did not think he was having an MI based on their “evidence based” interpretation. The ED doc stook his ground and these same cardiologist put 3 stents in.
