As the public learned this week about Donald Trump “improperly removing” White House documents, the former president’s aides characterized the records as largely trivial. The Republican’s team told The Washington Post that the items that found their way to Mar-a-Lago “included correspondence with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, which Trump once described as ‘love letters,’ as well as a letter left for Trump by President Barack Obama.”
The explanation wasn’t especially credible at the time, and soon after, it started unraveling. For one thing, the controversy wasn’t about a handful of records; it was about 15 boxes filled with documents Trump wasn’t supposed to take. For another, the materials weren’t just harmless keepsakes; they reportedly included sensitive records believed to be classified.

yawn
Lies, lies and more lies and even if true, no one cares. Did they say anything when Obama mishandled documents? No.
I don’t know how it can be stopped but the corrupt statist trash cannot be allowed to get away with their bullsh*t games anymore.
No; that never will happen. RATs never are judged by the GOP, as the GOP is a bunch of wusses.
It may not seem like it but Democrats have been caught in the trap set for Trump.
You might refer him to Sandy Berger, see if you can find out what happened to him after he was caught stuffing classified papers into his shirt and pants to steal during the Clinton administration.
Note this tidbit from the body of the article: "they reportedly included sensitive records believed to be classified"
That's mere speculation. And yet it made its way into the headline where it became basically "a fact".
As DJT might say, “MSNBC. The fakest of fake news. They have the biggest fake news, fake news nobody else has got, the bestest fake news, bigly fake news.”
So, did Trump personally load those boxes into a UHaul or did some minimum wage guy just load up all the boxes sitting in the hall?
I wonder what Sandy Berger would have said about this.
Was Trump stuffing documents held by the national archives down his pant legs and socks as well?
I stopped because we were just arguing.
I firmly believe that, if everyone in DC who regularly accepts bribes from foreign countries or malicious actors like Soros disappeared, not only would the White Hut be vacant, but almost all of the Rats and 75% of the Republicrats on Capitol Hill would be gone as well.
"CROSSFIRE HURRICANE"
Don’t forget the more than 900 FBI files Hillary “accidentally” downloaded, which were that agency’s records on members of the Senate and House. Although Hillary claimed it was accidental, they used that information to leak to the press to send a message to Rep. Henry Hyde (info that could have only come from those files), who was leading the impeachment of her husband. That was highly illegal, but best I recall she didn’t even get a slap on the wrist.
This sort of thing wasn’t an issue when Sandy Berger stuffed “Eyes Only” documents in his pants.
Yes, he actually told me in about 2018 that there was solid evidence and it was a fact. Now he oddly never mentions the Steel Dossier anymore.
The real question is did Trump break the law or rules regarding
documents? If so he should be held accountable. Freedom to
break the rules/laws/guidelines aren’t excusable by the Presidents.
Trump didn’t keep a secret server hidden in a bathroom in another state
Yet another story that will be proven false but that’s not the point . The point is to set the narrative so the true believers get it in their head and no matter the evidence presented proving it false, the original story will never be extricated from their brains. I have seen this happen over and over again - and it’s not just true believers - it’s people who normally aren’t political, but are made political by these lies. When you try to show them it was false all along - it’s like talking to a concrete wall.
Just think this through.
Do you really think that the President of the United States, who has received and sent literally tons of documents during a very busy four years in office, sat on a box in the basement pouring over every piece of paper that was to be moved to Florida?
Of course he did not.
He gave that job to a group of his staff, as the job was too big for one person, and assigned them with the job to sort those items that would stay and those that would be moved to Florida.
Now ask the next question:
How would the National Archives have known that there possibly were documents in Florida that were questionable?
More than likely they knew because one of the people supposedly working for Trump and sorting documents was in fact another swamp rat that set him up.
Doubtful?
What could be and easier way to make Trump look bad than to mix questionable documents with personal documents and then tip the National Archives?
And the white house was infested with rats, as we are finding more daily.
And last, Trump is no dummy. He knew the swamp rats would hound him for life. There is no way he would take classified documents.
