While I was headbanging to King Crimson back in the day I also thought “I Talk to the Wind” was one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever.

That was written pre- King Crimson . Giles , Giles and Fripp first recorded it with Judy Dyble ( later of Fairport Convention ) . Ian played flute on it . I was friends with Judy , and she told me that she and Ian were an item for a time .

IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING OFFICIAL TRAILER
“Official Trailer for the long awaited documentary “In The Court of the Crimson King” by Toby Amies. An official selection for the 2022 SXSW film festival, with a world premiere in Austin in March.
What began as a traditional documentary about the legendary band King Crimson as it turned 50, mutated into an exploration of time, death, family, and the transcendent power of music to change lives; but with jokes.”

The YouTube videos that Robert and Toyah make together are a trip. You definitely see a side of Robert Fripp you never saw before.

I built a Mellotron sampler box specifically to play lines from The Court of the Crimson King. IMO, that piece is the archetype of all true progressive rock. NOT to be confused with progressive politics.

Wow. Thanks.
I do prefer the more refined KC version that came a year later.
