Regina Pizza in Boston’s North End (Italian district)
Very famous, very good, real Italian Pizza.
If Regina’s is not on the list of some of the best Pizza, then the list is crap.
I remember Blondies pizza in Berkeley. Yum!
Say it ain't so! That place was the best! No reason at all to visit the Bay Area anymore :-(
LOL!!!......Hilarious. thanks
Those locals in the nearest city to here are very much those people. They have “the best” burgers, chili, and fried chicken.
There is one particular place that is often said to be “the best of the best” in all 3.
The burgers are burned little chips on a “hardroll” (its really just a stale bun).
After a lifetime Ive figured out the recipe for their chili. In equal parts its 1/4 ketchup, 1/4 hotsauce, 1/4 lard, 1/4 sand.
The fried chicken is just rolled lightly in flour and tossed into the fryer until it becomes like a substance made of densely packed nylon rope strands in a plastic shell.
Dishonorable mention goes to their famous perch fry. Each delicious fillet is boiled in hot oil until each looks like someone cut the curled ear off of a black piglet and tossed it on your plate.
It may have been a good place 60 some years ago when it opened but its terrible now. Im sure any of the rest of you would send it all back or maybe just leave thinking it was some kitchen prank on a tv show. Yet people continue to go and rave about this place but it seems to really be only because of the way its woven into the local culture.

Nope, haven’t tried Ciceros. We usually get pizza take-out, so get it close to home.
Yep, sad to say, it is now an empty lot waiting for the next four or five story monstrosity to be built hard-up against the sidewalk. We need more room for the Google drones.
“Frankie, Johnny, & Luigi’s, Too”:
My all-time favorite pizza place, and one of my all-time favorite restaurants of any kind.
Yeah...it was so cozy and homey inside there and the pizza was great. We used to take our boys there after Pony League and Little League baseball games for pizza.
Dave Portnoy,,after over 3000 pizza reviews, just named Sally’s Apizza best hes ever had....one bite....
I remember the thing about Beto’s - call and ask “which way is the river running?”
Do you remember that?
No, that doesn’t ring a Bell. I’ll have to ask my older siblings if they remember.
