Why wouldn't the U.S. military be furious with Biden's Afghanistan disaster?

The military should be upset with how things turned out.

It took a few months but we are finally getting the story of what happened in Afghanistan. As some of us suspected, it's not a pretty story. The New York Post is reporting this:

An Army investigation into the Biden administration’s catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan last year found the White House and State Department were too late in reacting to the Taliban’s final offensive, according to a new report Tuesday.

Senior officials failed to understand the significance of the Taliban’s push toward Kabul and resisted efforts by military commanders to prepare an evacuation of embassy staffers and Afghan allies in the weeks before the capital fell, putting American troops involved in the bugout in greater danger, according to the Washington Post, which cited the 2,000-page investigative report.

The report also revealed previously unreported instances of violence directed at US forces, including a gun battle between Marines and Taliban fighters that killed two of the militants and another in which American troops killed a member of an elite Afghan unit and wounded six others after they fired on Americans.

The investigation began after 13 US service members and more than 180 Afghan civilians were killed in a ISIS-K suicide bomb attack on Aug. 26 outside Hamid Karzai International Airport.

The left instinctively sides with evil so they probably think the good guys won.

I know those in the service who want to get out already and do not want even their kids to enlist, I don’t blame em, and this is one more reason why.

What we saw as the Afghan government fell was the result of Trump’s negotiations; the final withdrawal was Biden’s unplanned chaotic mess, but Trump made the deal that saw no Americans killed for the last 18 months.

When you see the Taliban sitting at the president’s desk in Kabul, they appear quite relaxed - not at all concerned that a bomb was headed their way. They were simply keeping their part of the deal made years before.

It isn’t just the shame heaped on our military by our civilian and military leaders. And it isn’t just the deaths of our military personnel.

It is the cavalier, almost willful incompetence (to the point of thinking people to attribute knowing malice to the debacle) and unthinking consideration for our military personnel to be inserted into such a terrible situation, and to have it done with nearly a grin on their collective faces, that sticks in the craw.

And then, almost as if they are gleefully pouring salt into the wound made by the knife they inserted and then twisted, to maintain innocently that nothing could have been done to prevent it all, or mitigate it in even the slightest way.

One of the most egregious insults to people in any walk of life is to deem their time or their efforts as insignificant.

Never mind their lives.

You sure those aren’t decoys? Doesn’t seem real? They don’t even look like Americans.

Back around 2005, I had a hour long conversation with two guys who spent a year in Afghanistan. Both admitted it was a life-changing deployment, and had changed their view of what the US military mission was supposed to be.

In simple terms, this was a country that was existing between fifty to one-hundred years in the past...ill-educated for any modern society or democracy, and corruption existed on every level of the Afghan government.

Resolving this? They were simply told....finish your deployment and forget about fixing things. Wouldn’t shock me if the vast majority of people felt that way after a deployment. Pentagon officials knew the score even before Trump came along.

Blame on Biden? Whoever runs the ‘buttons’ to Biden simply didn’t understand how a ‘falling-apart’ scenario would occur, and the amount of embarrassment dumped on Biden’s doorstep. And the same Pentagon is viewing the Ukraine situation and realizing the same button-people are running this mess.

It’s real.

Woke Uber Alles means ALLES.

What, you hate heavy soldiers who menstruate? You want to deny them the opportunity to be paratroopers? Bigot. Hater.

Afghanistan was a CIA operation that went back to at least just after 911. Actually, 911 was partly to justify a “war” that entrenched Clowns In America for the purposes of drug trafficking, human trafficking and money laundering.

DJT masterfully stopped that, and choreographed the worst part of leaving a bad situation on ‘bidAn’s watch.

I get the point about the reaction being bigoted or sexist but it looks like these 2 “paratroopers” are useless no matter what their sex or nationality. I’ve seen. workers at Burger King with more apparent awareness then these two that can’t dress themselves without help

Of course they are useless, that’s the point!

It’s sabotage.

Deliberate intentional knowing sabotage by maybe 5% of the brass who are secretly globalists, and the other 95% are woke “useful idiots” who just go along.

Their first couple of “heavy” PLFs should be all it takes to convince them of the fact that they don’t have what it takes to be a paratrooper. Although they will probably blame it on the “racist” or “sexist” parachute designers.

Just wait until the first time they get to leave the plane on a moonless night with ground winds over 30mph. Oh, and with full rucks... always with full rucks.

I guess they could always rig em out with cargo chutes, LOL.

The military should be upset with how things turned out

Gregory (Scotland Yard detective): "Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"
Holmes: "To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time."
Gregory: "The dog did nothing in the night-time."
Holmes: "That was the curious incident."

The behavior of the US military leadership is certainly curious.

Draw your own conclusions.

Those 'senior officials' should be charged with 13 counts of manslaughter!

The Afghan government did NOT fall as a result of Trump’s negotiations, it fell because Biden pulled out all air and intelligence support for the AFG troops, abandoned our fortified air base, and allowed all sorts of elements in AFG to gain access.

Trump had planned on leaving the intel and air support at the air base, withdrawing all the rest of the troops. We would have maintained that airbase and it’s support, which would have enabled the AFG to continue on.

Biden wanted, more than anything, to be the ONE who got us out of AFG on the anniversary of our entrance. He and his handlers put people in charge of the DoD who would obey, no matter how many soldiers or Americans were left behind or died.

The troops know this, and the good ones are getting out. What will be left, for the most part, will be the ash and trash who are incapable of even understanding the situation, much less of handling anything.

Just like the US forces in between WWII and Korea. But even the ash and trash in the military then is heads and tails better than what we have polluting the upper ranks now.
