I think you’re right about the mandate — that hasn’t changed.
On Valentine’s Day! That can be seen as a hopeful message. But you are right they could end it now. Maybe they have to inform government workers, the public, and whatnot and that will take some time. It’s not like the Berlin Wall coming down immediately — though I wish it was.

Sorry to be a grammar Nazi, but after it is ended, it is ended.
Decisions to end can be reversed. There have been innumerable commitments in Canada to end things eventually. Some of these have even had future time stamps. This one has a future time stamp that will be hard to back down on, but a chunk of my ancestors were from Missouri, and on this one I’ve been burned enough that you will need to “Show Me.”
One can imply all sorts of things by twisting grammar. Sometimes that is ok. I don’t think that is the case here.

IF that happens, it could ignite a nationwide truckers’ strike that would quickly bring down the government ... all the truckers would have to do is park their rigs, temporarily remove a couple of hard-to-replace key components, and kickback for about a week ...

I never tried it but did hear about it.
Would get it from a neighbor in Da Bronx and it came in a huge 5 pound block (American Cheese).
Now it EBT cards and the worst thing the gov ever did was stop the checks and give out seemingly credit cards!
