The average yearly pay for the NBA is $7 million, for the WNBA it's less than $100,000. The WNBA operates at a deficit, covered by the NBA, although I don't think they are transparent about how much. So NBA players are contributing towards the WNBA players' income. I don't know how they could be able to manage income parity.
Love Norm. RIP
That’s hella good thinking.
The WNBA is one sport that would be greatly improved by an influx of transsexual athletes.
If ten transgender freaks, who could dribble and dunk, took the floor the quality of entertainment would improve radically. Every year a large number of skilled roundballers leave collegiate programs, only a small fraction make the NBA. The WNBA could become a circus inhabited with athletes who are not quite good enough for the big show, but are skilled enough to entertain me for 90 minutes with slam dunks and general tomfoolery. In order to play in the WNBA a young man simply utters the magic words “I am now a women. Hear me roar”.
Occasionally one of these transsexual side shows will have a shot at moving up. All of America’s attention will focus on the story of his/her/its spellbinding struggle to leave the girls behind.
Isn’t that what G League or the Italian league is for?
Our company had a social at a WNBA game during a diversity month. Don’t know how many attended, but not attending probably hurt your promotion chances.
No doubt that the EU basketball universe would be damaged. However, I am an America first type. Let our boys come home and dunk on a God fearing red white and blue ten foot rim rather than some commie 3.048 meter rim.
I still don’t think I’d go.
I’ve thought of seeing the local G League team, but I haven’t.
Who wants to watch a bunch of “nappy headed hoes?”
Is that wrongthink?
I think that’s unnecessarily insu
lting. I don’t watch WNBA, but I see no reason to insult them.
“I’d like to know how many people watch it on TV and live”
When I read that, I thought you meant “live” as in “live to tell about it” rather than “not videotaped.”
YES, most people would DIE OF BOREDOM if they were subjected to a WNBA game!
