A rough first showing at the Beijing Winter Olympics for U.S.-born Chinese figure skater Zhu Yi continued on Monday after she fell twice during the final event in the team competition before breaking down in tears on the ice.
Zhu, who was born in California but gave up her American citizenship to compete for China in 2018, began the women’s free skate event well, landing both her first two jumps before falling on a triple-flip attempt, according to Yahoo Sports.

“gave up her American citizenship to compete for China”
Renouncing US citizenship to become a ChiCom is not normal. Guessing that the ChiComs offered her and her family big bucks to do this... or possibly blackmailed them.
Schadenfreude.
Little Traitor
We’re gonna have a big problem if we do have war with China.
Can’t put them all in Internment Camps this time around.
I can’t wait for Coach 30 to do film review of her:
“just not really an athlete, moment’s a little too big, I’m scared to death, etc...” Her new name will be “Davis.”
The good news is that her organs will fetch top dollar.
stay there...
Her Karma ran over her Dogma
What about Zhu Zhu’s medals?
Well, she said she was doing this to bring people together, she brought people together in laughter.
I wonder if she is ignorant of all the accusations like organ harvesting of the Falun Gong, Genocide of the Uyghurs and likely creation of COVID? Not to mention that little thing about freedom.
Or if she was like “oh I just want a shiny medal?”. 🤔
The ChiComs pass their female athletes around like boxes of chocolate.
The ones that are born there I feel sorry for.
This one chose it.
Your tagline is the best one ever!
“...her organs will fetch top dollar.”
Except for her ankles.
Where is Zhu Yi?
Awwwwww./s
I feel bad for her, only because she’s gonna be regretting that decision the rest of her life. I have empathy, but she made her bed and now has to sleep in it.
Yeah, I’m caught between “It serves her right” and not wanting to dwell on someone else’s misfortune, which I regard as risky business.
