Of course, outside of discomfort, it’s fairly reasonable to speculate that there would also be a healthy amount of embarrassment with walking around in a mask bound by pantyhose over one’s face in public.

There are some covididiots that are running around wearing helmets right out of a Spaceman Spiff cartoon, face "shields" that any sane person would know do absolutely nothing to stop virus particles, etc.
