JUST IN - GoFundMe has deleted Canada's Freedom Convoy fundraiser for violating its terms, stating the "peaceful demonstration has become an occupation" now. $9 million funds to be sent to "credible charities."
Like, “if we don’t like the beneficiary, we can direct the money anyone else we approve of?”
They might have a legitimate disclaimer if the group is involved in criminal activity but that simply has not been established.
If the disclaimer is too vague, Go fund me could be accused of running fraud scheme.
Just have everyone do chargebacks. They lose $200 for every one that occurs. The courts aren’t going to do anything and it will take years.
“Go Brandon Me” needs to go the way of facebook and DIE!
I hope they are sued into oblivion.
All donors may submit a request.
You can request, doesn’t mean they will grant your request.

No one, but that's not the point.
It's there, and GoFundMe will use that to weasel out of any refunds to donors.

Chicken shits.

Also, canceled my previous payment to gofundme by calling my credit card company.
Big Tech has us all by the crotch. Those Terms of Service is both their meal-ticket and shield.

The M’er effers STOLE 9 EFFING MILLION DOLLARS from the truckers! Hope the truckers sue the living shit out of them. Go Fund Me=effing robbers!
I think this action will increase the truckers resolve not weaken it. Bad move politically when the complaints are about freedom.

That is grand theft. Criminal charges must be filed.
Also anyone who paid by credit card needs to now contest those charges and demand a refund from the credit card company because the funds were stolen by the vender.
Offer, acceptance, consideration. No consideration, no contract. California LAW IS VERY GENEROUS IN CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS.
