Roth is showing his age, but he was the better lead for VH.
Saw VH back in 78 at the Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh, one of my first concerts.
I guess there could be an allegory with the show "Bewitched", as there were two Darren's.
There is no comparison between Van Halen and Van Hagar.
Intellectually Roth sounds about 18.
That was the magic era. David Lee Roth as singer, Eddie’s guitar was more raw than later years and Michael Anthony’s backing vocals. That was the real Van Halen.
Diamond Dave starting to give me this sort of vibe...
Roth is one weird dude. It’s no wonder Eddie and the band didn’t dump him a lot sooner…
I was at that show! Saw Cheap Trick there the next day.
I liked this:
“I knew David Bowie,We shared strong drink on more than several occasions. … I was in a studio in New York, a phone call came through … [and Bowie said,]
’David, I’m kind of in a quandary, and I’m being serious. I’m going to tell you something, and tell me what you think. … I bought furniture.’”

“I bought furniture”
The trap was sprung!
