One person has died and four were injured after a shooting inside a Greyhound bus on Wednesday.
The shooting in Butte County, California, happened outside of an ampm convenience store. The Oroville Police Department said they started getting calls about a shooting around 7:35 p.m. local time.
The police department sent first responders, only to find "several subjects suffering from gunshot wounds" who were transported to local hospitals. One person died on the scene despite first responders attempting life-saving measures.

The shooter fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, officials said. The police department reported getting additional calls claiming that the suspect was seen in a local Walmart. Law enforcement took the person into custody and placed him in the local jail.
"Our primary concern at this time is the safety of our driver and passengers. We are working closely with local authorities," Greyhound Lines, Inc told ABC10.
Oroville Mayor Chuck Reynolds announced the arrest on Facebook. Reynolds also said there was a physical confrontation at Walmart but no gunfire, KOVR-TV of Sacramento reported.
The identity of the victims and the alleged shooter have not been revealed by law enforcement.

Okey doke.
Someone got disrespected on the bus.
I haven’t ridden “the dog” in many years but it was usually better than hitch hiking, except for that time two hippie chicks picked me up in Northern California.
And leave the mayhem to us!
Wait. Isnt it illegal to have weapons on the bus?
I know I would fell a lot better if I was armed whenever I just drive by the bus station.

After I got out of the service I spent some time hitching up and down PCH. I know what you mean.

Why you were safer on a NYC trolley car in 1880 than on a bus today...

I rode the bus about 2 1/2 years ago to pick up a car that I bought out of state. It was OK but not all that cheap. There was one flight that was actually cheaper than the bus, but it left at 5:00 AM.
Greyhound folded their Canadian operations a while ago. They are in shrinkage mode these days.
Did the chicks have a Chevy Van? Woke up and took you by the hand?
There seems to be a lot of that going around these days.
Is that you, Sammy?
The suspect has since been identified as 21-year-old Asaahdi Elijah Coleman, a Sacramento resident.
Investigators say Coleman boarded the bus, which was bound to Los Angeles, in Redding. The bus stopped in Red Bluff and Chico before stopping in Oroville. Passengers reported that Coleman appears to have made or received a phone call that made him agitated and, at some point, he reportedly showed people a firearm he had in his bag.
Coleman then allegedly started firing when the bus arrived in Oroville and people started to exit.
Coleman has had several run-ins with the law, authorities say. He was currently wanted out of Alameda County for being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
