2 million barrels (if tanker was full) is 2% of total world oil demand per day.
That will be quite an explosion!

From the article, “Trinity Spirit is a floating production storage and offloading unit (FPSO), which is used by the offshore oil and gas industry for producing and processing, as well as storing oil.”
It was not just a tanker. This probably put it at greater risk of a devastating incident such as this.
