I have never believed there is a “best way” to cook any particular food. I have my favorites, and recognize that some techniques are more effective than others, but there is no one, perfect way to fry an egg. (There are at least eight.)
Culture, personal experience, access to ingredients, and preference all influence how we enjoy food, and cooking lets one tailor their meals to these preferences. (Besides cost, I think this is one of the primary reasons people bother cooking at all.) Some people like chewy bacon, some people like it shatteringly crisp, and some like it microwaved and borderline gummy. All bacon styles are valid, and twisted bacon lets one enjoy more than one style at once.
I am old and not on TikTok, but my younger, more hip friends often send me videos, or someone will share one on Twitter (where I go to do my shouting), and I’ll see it there. I don’t remember how twisted bacon made its way into my line of vision, but I’m pretty glad it did. It’s crisp on the outside and—depending on how long you cook it—a little to a lot chewy on the inside, and its stick-like shape makes it perfect for dipping.

I air fry ravioli. It’s off the hook.
Sorry but my bacon is always cooked straight! Cut package in 1/2 find a frying pan big enough to lay’em (half of the package) all out in the pan and cook slowly. Drain pan 1/2 way through cooking and flip the little suckers over. Straight Bacon makes the best dippers:-)
I take hot dogs and quarter them the long way and air fry them. They turn into little tasty rings. Perfect for dipping.
wrap a half strip of bacon around an asparagus spear, and fry it in the NuWave (or any other air fryer)
you’ll never eat either one any other way !
Claire is kinky.
But if I cook it in an air fryer how do I cook my eggs in the bacon grease?
indeed
I really prefer my bacon crispy but this could be worth an experiment.
Save the bacon grease for frying your eggs. We always keep a can of bacon grease in the freezer as my mom taught me.
ewww no
I don’t want that splatter all over my air fryer, I can’t imagine trying to clean that mess up.
Love my air fryer.
what I gonna do with these green tomaters?
If that tastes as good as that looks I’m in.
An iron skillet over medium to low gives awesome results.
That sounds yummy. What temperature do you use and for how long?
Who can afford bacon these days?
I’m thinking about getting one. What kind do you have?
sad but true, I shoulda invested in pork bellys.
400 for about 6-8 mins
