Two years ago, the Cincinnati Bengals were the NFL’s worst team. Now they’re headed to the Super Bowl to play the Los Angeles Rams — in the Rams’ home stadium.
Matching the biggest comeback in an AFC championship game, the Bengals rallied from an 18-point hole to stun Kansas City 27-24 in overtime Sunday for their first trip to the big game since the 1988 season. The team that won only two games in 2019, earning them the top overall draft pick that they used on quarterback Joe Burrow, pretty much dominated the Chiefs after the first quarter.
Rookie Evan McPherson made a 31-yard field goal to win it.
Then the Rams overcame a 10-point second-half deficit and took the NFC crown with a 20-17 victory over San Francisco when Matt Gay made a 30-yard field goal with 1:46 remaining. Los Angeles (15-5) had lost six consecutive times to the 49ers (12-8), but the visitors couldn’t slow All-Pro receiver Cooper Kupp. Safety Jacquiski Tart dropped a certain interception in the fourth quarter that helped LA tie the game.
Kupp finished with 11 catches for 142 yards and two touchdowns.

I’ll be swatching in hopes of catching a glimpse of my hero, Commish Goondell.
This KC gal is not happy.
I would have to say your tag line is true.
99.9% of the country will be rooting for Cincinnati.
Cooper Kupp was hardly recruited for college, undervalued, and probably had a lot of nay sayers when he was drafted....
he, alone, is worth pulling for the Rams...
Will ticket scalpers include boosted vaccine cards with the purchase of each ticket?
At this point many Detroit fans are happy to see Stafford make it to The Super Bowl. However I like both teams. Heck the entire product the NFL has put out this playoff has been nothing less than exceptional.
I’d like to see Stafford win it.
Don’t fret.
Vegas controls it all anyway.

Except that the Rams lost to the 49ers in overtime yesterday so WTF?
Yes, the games have been great. Disappointed about KC not getting to the Super Bowl, but that’s entirely on them. I knew they should have kicked for a field goal at the end of the first half. Not scoring blew their momentum for sure.
Also nice to see how many players just have the team name, rather than some hectoring slogan, on the helmets. And I only saw the opening for the second game, but didn’t see anyone kneeling, etc.
Good football, minimal BS, that’s OK. Congrats and good luck to the winners. To the losers - there’s always next year!

The Cheeps lost in overtime yesterday because Mayhomes does STUPID stuff
Who Dey! Who Dey! Who Dey think gonna beat them Bengals. NOBODY! Let’s go JoeyB!
Yep, good for Stafford. I can't help but think of Barry Sanders who never had the good fortune of being traded to a better team.
The playoffs were awesome this year. Best football in a long time. The Bills-Chiefs has to be one of the GOAT games ever.
Now I am curious as to how Rush would have called this one since both teams mascots are animals....
“Go Sports!”
