NEW YORK - Cheslie Kryst, the winner of the 2019 Miss USA pageant, has reportedly died after jumping from a building in Midtown Manhattan.

According to TMZ, the NYPD responded to a 9-1-1 call at Kryst's apartment building on 42nd Street at around 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

Upon arrival, police found the 30-year-old lawyer and host on the entertainment news show "Extra" dead at the scene.

Police say they believe Kryst, who lived on the building's 9th floor, jumped to her death.

Early Sunday morning, Kryst had posted a photo of herself to Instagram with the caption, "May this day bring you rest and peace."

"In devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie," Kryst's family said in a statement. "Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined. Cheslie embodied love and served others

Ahh.... slinking around to throw stones at the Christians again?

No, I was reading a thread about a tragedy and found Christians slinking around to throw stones at the suicidal, which is really appealing, let me tell you. Gosh, what a club to join.

“Oh, one of those who thinks Jesus was an American, eh? Yeah, okay.”

Nope. That is a pretty STUPID comment, actually. I said NOTHING about “American”. I said I haven’t met any LIBERALS who were in any meaningful sense Christian.

LIBERAL isn’t “American/Not American”. There are liberals in Europe - all over the place. In Asia too.

Liberalism, as currently practiced, is rooted in the idea that Man Is Supreme. We get to decide what is right or wrong. We Are Our Own Absolute. There is no God. No Creator. Just power to be gained and used by “us” to impose our will on others. Think “Acceptance of transsexuals” and “Vaccines for babies”.

A few YOUNG Christians are still liberals, but they will move away from it as they grow in Christ, yielding God more and more control over their lives.

BTW, I’ve spent a large chunk of my adult life outside the USA. And I currently know a lot of Christians who feel severed from the USA as we go under a government that hates Jesus. And yeah, Joe Biden HATES JESUS CHRIST. It is obvious!

Depression most likely. Suffered from it myself for years. Found a good doctor, was treated for some time with medication, therapy and after a period of time was relieved of it. Prayers for this poor woman. God. She was so young.

Marijuana is not a trigger for committing suicide.

The father of the young beauty queen who leaped to her death from a Manhattan high-rise Sunday morning said his daughter was “pure,” didn’t use drugs or alcohol and that it was likely some kind of depression that led her to take her own life.

“She was pure, she didn’t take any kind of drugs or prescription medication,” a man who identified himself as Rodney Kryst, 62, told The Post from his home in Charlotte, NC, Tuesday. “She never had any kind of substance abuse problem.”

Said Kryst, “I think it had a lot to do with family dysfunction, but it will be awhile before we can talk more. She was sad.”

Apparently she was greatly struggling with turning 30 as she saw it as old from what her writings have revealed. And she certainly had issues about how she looked from the beauty competitions since she started throughout... often common in the industry she had aligned herself with.

The last place people with a weak self-image should be is the entertainment/Hollywood/modeling type careers. It will take their life and sanity one way or another.

One thing that I have learned over the years and being a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney is that most people do not consider marijuana a “drug.“. There has been a proliferation of marijuana use especially among younger Black people. Every attorney I know has observed an explosion of depression and anxiety among younger Black people. This woman was an advocate for the legalization of marijuana. I would bet a very large sum of money that marijuana led to her mental illness, which led to her suicide.

She looked better and fitter than the vast majority of the people in the USA. I guess there is always somebody younger and better looking to compete with you in the looks sweepstakes, though. Associating with the toxic BLM gang would keep anyone angry, anxious and in a negative frame of mind too.

She had internal issues a plenty it seems. I’ve been in that industry and I tell ya most of the women know they are competing with their looks 24/7....and little else matters.

Who’s judging? Not me. I don’t know why she may have fallen, jumped or for that matter, “thrown” off”!

There have been an unexplained rash of so called suicides of banking and other professional officials occurring at punctuated intervals since 2019 or so.

I don’t buy it that all these were suicides.

I am also personally aware of several suicide attempts occurring in my area immediately after the news of this one, one of them citing Miss USA 2019 as their reasoning. Sometimes one famous or noted person who offs themselves acts like a “weighted” anchor chain that induces other weaker depressed persons to follow suit. Thus, where I work, we are seeing a number of them coming in; all occurring in an unusually short time period between each other (unusual for us anyway)in the past3 days.

So go judge yourself, that you be not judged!

I've met tons. They think Jesus died to save us from our sins (thus they are Christian) and they think government should help the poor (thus they are liberal.) There is nothing incoherent about their thought process. It's just different from yours.

Hmmm...abortion. Promotion of homosexuality. Transgendered. GOVERNMENT to help the poor versus HUMANS. Indeed, liberals are largely DEFINED by worship of government. Terror of COVID - and belief government will save us.

Nope. Not buying what you are selling.

Jesus never said anything against the government helping people. Liberals vary on abortion, and as for those liberals who are not gay, they are not exempt from Christianity simply because they have no particular interest in railing against gay marriage.

Fact is, Jesus spent more energy dealing with money-changers in the temple than in any of the issues you think are so definitive. Liberals who are Christian are just as Christian as you. They just think Jesus was more interested in helping the poor than in stopping abortion, and they have plenty of grounds for thinking so.

“Christians are immune to depression and mental illness?”

Not at all. Often Satan is more apt to target Christians than unbelievers. He already “has” them so why bother?

“Jesus spent more energy dealing with money-changers in the temple than in any of the issues you think are so definitive.”

No, he didn’t. Issues like homosexuality and abortion wouldn’t have been an issue to any devout Jew in 30 AD. All KNEW what the scriptures said about it. And Jesus dealt with the moneychangers one time.

You cannot give your life to Jesus and reject God as Creator.

Nor can voting to give government money to the poor replace our duty as individuals to do so. But liberals don’t need to worry about it since they vote for good deeds rather than do them themselves.

Based on every liberal I’ve ever met.

One thing you have in common with those liberals is that you think your interpretation of Christianity is the only correct one. They think the same, and that your refusal to let the government help the poor is a rejection of Jesus’s real intent, along with your condemnation of gays as being any more sinful than a straight man who has sex out of wedlock, or is divorced.
