CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV/AP) - Former Miss USA 2019, Cheslie Kryst has died at the age of 30, her family announced in a statement Sunday.
Kyrst, a Charlotte native, won the Miss USA pageant back in 2019 as Miss North Carolina. She was also a host on EXTRA and an attorney.
Police said Kryst jumped from a high-rise apartment building on West 42nd Street in midtown Manhattan and was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday morning. Her body was found at approximately 7 a.m.

What ever could have been so bad that someone so talented, intelligent and beautiful would feel the need to end her life?

I don’t want to make light of the diagnosis. I know several people that have this diagnosis along with many other alphabet psychological diagnoses, I guess that it is real but I’m depression-proof so I would be the last person to ask.

She was a liberal and worked on “social justice” causes.
Liberals/social justice types hate Beauty Queens.
She was probably very conflicted.
A friend and coworker talked about his younger days when he had the opportunity to date beauty queens and how much their lives changed at 30 - not as many doors opened or other male attentions as younger girls get more notice; wrinkles and the occasional gray hair starting to appear.
