S.A.D.*

[Google]”Seasonal affective disorder* is a form of depression also known as SAD, seasonal depression or winter depression. In the Diagnostic Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), this disorder is identified as a type of depression – Major Depressive Disorder with Seasonal Pattern.”

Big storm, “somekindofstupidbombname-nado”

I don’t want to make light of the diagnosis. I know several people that have this diagnosis along with many other alphabet psychological diagnoses, I guess that it is real but I’m depression-proof so I would be the last person to ask.

I have seasonal affective disorder but I am NOT suicidal. I just get depressed during the long gray winter months. I’m ready for Spring by March, and where I live, I can still have snow in May. It doesn’t happen every year that way, but it does happen.

(P.S. I’m a native Floridian, so while I love the change of seasons the Midwest brings, the Spring is very late arriving, and Summer is too short.)
