In 1994, the Republicans articulated a clear vision for America and regained Congress for the first time in over 40 years. It’s time to repeat that process.
“What are Republicans for?” asked Joe Biden at his recent press conference. It’s an important question, and it calls for a simple and clear answer. We Republicans need to write a New Contract With America, packed with ideas that will resonate with American voters in 2022. Here are some suggestions:
1. We will “Refund, Reform, and Respect the Police!” We will do whatever we can to end the crime wave devastating American neighborhoods.
2. We will make America energy independent again!
3. We will bring vital industries back to America!
4. We will take politics out of the Supreme Court.
5. We will respect parents’ rights to guide their children’s education!
6. We will finish the wall on our southern border and institute policies that control cross-border traffic.
7. When the wall is complete and the border situation stabilized, we will pass legislation to tie legal immigration and temporary work visas to the unemployment rates in America
8. We will rein in the power of the Tech Giants and limit their ability to stifle free speech!
9. We will do whatever is possible to help small companies recover from the devastating hits they have taken over the last two years.
10. Our foreign policy and our defense policy will be guided by Ronald Reagan’s wise maxim “Peace Through Strength!”

I am sure there are more, but seems like a good start. If you want to add one, which would you remove? (not that what needs to be done is limited to 10 items, but which should be the top 10?)
There should be SNIPs after each number.
The thing about the original CwA was that almost nobody heard about it, it was extremely stealthy, it was basically ignored and then Newt started taking credit for regaining congress as if the CwA had anything to do with it. But that was not the case, the reason we won congress in that term was due to the ascendancy of Rush Limbaugh and his millions of listeners toggling the levers in the voting booth.
Today, just like then, the power is in the media.
Point being, is that the GOP house needs to get going on this and stop playing defense.
1. We will defund and disassemble the DOJ, FBI, CIA , EPA etc.
4. We will take politics out of the Supreme Court.
Impossible. Silly promise.
10. Our foreign policy and our defense policy will be guided by Ronald Reagan’s wise maxim “Peace Through Strength!”
Our foreign policy is already guided by Reagan's maim -- that's the problem. Our military budget is bigger than that of all other nations' military budgets combined.
We're strong enough. Too strong. The Deep State salivates over our military, and wants to use it anywhere and everywhere. To paraphrase Madeline Albright during our 1999 Serbia War, "What's the point of having the world's largest military if we don't use it"?
Reagan's maxim might have been wise during the Cold War. But it's time to replace it with America First. No more Neocon foreign wars, no Neocon foreign aid (to any nation -- no exceptions), no Neocon nation building.
The only contract I want to hear about is the Republican plan to grow a pair and kick democrat butt and take no prisoners.
10 is too many. We know that. It’s people’s attention spans. Cut it down to 5 or six. Gas prices(energy), parents rights(CRT/school choice a subset),finish the wall(it’s obvious).
Then there’s my favorite: Eliminate corporate welfare. The first bunch appeals to voters hearts as well as their pocketbooks. Corporate welfare is a subject they’ll tune into-think social justice and all that gobbledigook.
5 or 6 is good. The others will take care of themselves.
It would be easier for the GOP if they ACTUALLY believed in conservatism. The truth is that they are merely the only and best option we have.
Gingrich, wasn’t perfect, but he was a brilliant politician and Trump would have been well served to utilize him as chief of staff, instead of that milquetoast Reince Priebus.
Gingrich knows Washington and could have guided Trump through his inability to hire good loyal people, as well.
Seems like somewhere in there should be a simple statement about restoring our Constitution as the law of the land.
1. Get rid of the FBI and CIA.
2. End Government schools.
3. Breakup Media and Entertainment into a million small, competing companies.
The GOP is hopeless at the federal level….They had there change with Trump and we got nothing much…tax cuts…..
It is how the entire world has prospered for the last 40 years. Pax Americana, which followed Pax Britannica.
The idea the world will be peaceful, if only America becomes less powerful is silly non-sense.
They should have one thing…get rid of most federal departments and federal regulations….money goes back to the states…a 1950s federal government…we are serfs but most people do not know it….
#1....must only be paired with reaffirming the second amendment from sea to shining sea. Only law abiding individuals can reliably assure their own safety, no matter how high or low the level of law enforcement funding
In a white paper describing how to save America, the following were noted:
1. Eradicate the left wing anti Americans
2. Exterminate Black Lives matter and all who support that radical cause.
3. Detain all the first and second tier of left wing leadership at federal City State, State and local levels.
Arrest and detain all left wing judges
4. Arrest and detain all left wing District and state prosecutors.
5. Cleanse America of the antiAmerican plague that is the radical left
“PUT AMERICA FIRST” is the only thing I want our government to be doing. The rest of this will fall into line.
A robust economy
Lower federal interference in everyday lives, lower debt, lower interest rate manipulation
CIA/FBI/Homeland Security etc about protecting America and Americans
Boarder security, not just at the southern boarder but not allowing folks from unsavory countries or with unsavory backgrounds into the US.
Absolute Election Security
I love the idea of promising to fix what the Democrats are out there, right now, breaking. /s
Trump did most of that, and against Republican wishes, too.
It got the Presidency stolen from him by both parties.
