Men are increasingly anxious, depressed, and struggling with suicide 1 . They are dropping out of school and opting out of the workforce, instead choosing to live in a virtual world playing video games and watching porn. A masculinity crisis is on our hands.
Growing up as a boy is hard. You experience bullying at school and rejection by girls, leading to hurt and heartbreak. 1 in 3 boys grow up without a father, and for those of us lucky enough to have one, we only spend 30 minutes a week in conversation with them, compared to 44 hours we will spend in front of a screen 2 . Without the tools and guidance to navigate our painful emotional states, we resort to escape.

Yes, the gaming sphere is the one area of the internet where feminists and cancel culture can’t make any real inroads. In your private discord room with guys you have gotten to know for several years, is about the only place you can actually voice your opinions without worrying that some leftist is going to screenshot it and try to cancel you. I think the older crowd on FR would be very surprised at how much politics/culture/religion is discussed on these private discord servers, rather than just games and memes. Half the guys on my server are constantly posting Jordan Peterson videos, FreedomToons, or AwakenWithJP anti-lockdown videos, for example. Discord is basically becoming the “neighborhood tavern” for this generation.

For one porn harms everyone from the consumer to the "actors"/"models", gaming does not.

This is a result of the destruction of the family unit and is part o the fallout from Cultural Marxism.
Destroy the family unit. Make the state (schools) the primary means of moral instruction. “Deconstruct” gender - gender confusion, grooming through the schools.
Many of the founders of cultural Marxism wanted to get rid of all age restrictions on sex (see below why) and creating gender confusion, promotion abortion = all part of the plan.
The hostility against straight (especially white) men in colleges has males far less than 50% in colleges. On the decline.
Sex ‘hook up’ apps make access to sex easy.
Absent traditional values and monogamy, men are devolving into lazy (so lazy they’d rather use porn that even bother with actual sex) animals.
Not going in the right direction as a culture - and this is all by design.
Collapse the system - revolution - the great reset - and then remake the culture as a communist paradise.
Video games are a time killer and distraction but the virtual world. They want a world they have complete control over without dissent. More removed from reality they can get the easier that becomes. Then you’ll shop, etc. in that world. Then the ‘social credit system’ can be used to control it - and us.

In the current generation’s defense, unlike them, we did not grow up in the hyper-feminized, anti-hetero-male, society full of Karens.
Other than that, yes, rejection and failure is part of becoming an adult and it doesn’t end there. Looking back, while I did not like it at the time, I am glad I was rejected for certain jobs, by certain women, etc. There is always something to learn out in the real world.
You see the general problem. It goes deeper than that due to the societal hatred of men.
Everything on the internet leads to porn. Men are being destroyed by the addiction.

Young men are checking out women and succeeding at something in a virtual world because Feminists, lesbians, and beta males in government and korporations don’t want young men checking out women and succeeding in the real world.
Meanwhile the average age a woman gives birth in the US is now over age 30.
As they are all adopting multiple dogs instead - wasting their critical motherhood years on so-called “fur babies”.
It's more like wanting to be able to drink beer with some friends, and be able to vent and in general talk about whatever without needing to censor yourself. It's also the safest outlet for trash talking.
