Compulsory moral bioenhancement should be covert

Abstract

Some theorists argue that moral bioenhancement ought to be compulsory. I take this argument one step further, arguing that if moral bioenhancement ought to be compulsory, then its administration ought to be covert rather than overt. This is to say that it is morally preferable for compulsory moral bioenhancement to be administered without the recipients knowing that they are receiving the enhancement. My argument for this is that if moral bioenhancement ought to be compulsory, then its administration is a matter of public health, and for this reason should be governed by public health ethics. I argue that the covert administration of a compulsory moral bioenhancement program better conforms to public health ethics than does an overt compulsory program. In particular, a covert compulsory program promotes values such as liberty, utility, equality, and autonomy better than an overt program does. Thus, a covert compulsory moral bioenhancement program is morally preferable to an overt moral bioenhancement program.

How can a person be moral if they are force to act a certain way?
How can there be liberty if there is covert compulsory moral bioenhancement?
They are deceived and contradict themselves completely. But that is the age we live in.

Thank you for bringing this up to FR.

I had never heard of it, I had to look up the definition and examples. The first two examples I found of what “morals” would be enhanced are submission to climate change dictates and fighting terrorism.

So, a lot like castration by another name.

They have already gone there.

Look I am in favor of keeping things clean and tidy. Just ask the kids. But there is a difference between my telling them to clean things up or I will put on a hazmat suit and do it myself with the flame thrower... um... weed burner that is, and the government doing it.

I honestly do have their best interests at heart and when they are adults they can live like pigs if they want to. Although pigs are actually very tidy animals. But if you look at the history of "public health" and the government once it gets beyond drains it gets very dark very fast.

Deaf Smith :" When all these "vaccines" came out, they said they were a Experimental Gene Therapy.
Just what do they think Gene Therapy means? "

All these 'gene therapies', or "*vaccines*" will eventually lead to a decline in the Human immune system.
The fact that all these professional immunologists have forcibly ignored the concept of 'natural immunity', despite provable scientific evidence,
will ultimately lead to a decline of the human immune system, as we know it.

Moral enhancement (abbreviated ME), also called moral bioenhancement (abbreviated MBE)

That is some industrial strength mad scientist stuff.

Truly evil — and it calls itself “moral.”
