Let’s give the NFL some credit here. They were astute enough to know that their fan base is filled with a bunch of pathetic losers who would set themselves on fire before they ever give up their bread and circuses.
there are plenty of people here who watch the NFL games. It doesn’t make them unpatriotic.
There is something about watching the pure athleticism and dedication of Mahomes who can throw a pass around and under the guy trying to block him and the receiver still catches it.

Or acknowledging what Brady has achieved in his life..even with the cheating. Or as much as I cant stand Djokovic it is amazing what his body can accomplish. He also has a stringent quirky diet as does Brady
I can enjoy NFL games. I may not like the person but I can acknowledge the dediction and hard work and phenominal ability of some of the athletes around the world

Yep. And that includes many freepers if not most.
It’s the opiate of the masses.
The honchos of the NFL kand other sports as well) were right when they predicted the fanatics would be back and disregard the fact that it’s an organization that except for their money, they despise them.
That was true a few years ago, but both the league and the NFLPA realized that such overt politicizing would hurt the sport, and both have seriously cut back the politicizing efforts.
