It's cute how the article doesn't explain what DIM is: It's the chemical diindolylmethane.
All joking aside, what exciting news for cancer research! (And for broccoli enthusiasts: I found a whole plethora of articles when I checked for posts with "broccoli" in the title. (Why am I hearing "James Bond" type music in my head now?)

So broccoli is worse than cancer. My taste buds agree.

I eat broccoli every day....at least 12 ounces.
The benefits from broccoli can be gotten from other vegetables that were developed from the same 'wild cabbage' plant as broccoli.
 CABBAGE
Cabbage, comprising several cultivars of Brassica oleracea, is a leafy green, red (purple), or white (pale green) biennial plant grown as an annual vegetable crop for its dense-leaved heads. It is descended from the wild cabbage (B. oleracea var. oleracea), and belongs to the "cole crops" or brassicas, meaning it is closely related to broccoli and cauliflower (var. botrytis); Brussels sprouts (var. gemmifera); and Savoy cabbage (var. sabauda).
