Waking Ned Devine. When my British wife tells me the Brits make horrible movies, but good TV, I make her watch this to cement proof that at least one brilliant Brit movie made it past her filter.

“Wasn’t this a movie... “Waking Ned Devine” ?
Sorta. It’s about an Irish dude who died and his “friends” eventually get the money. Back then, I was on a flight back to the US from Asia, and they showed the movie in-flight.

I watch a lot of Brit TV when Amazon has it for .99 a month.
A lot of good shows. Although, their remake of Professor T missed the mark. I watched the original Belgium version. Quirky but I watched all of it.

Do you think alcohol could have had a part at all in the decision making here?

On the way home they stopped by the polling place and shoved him into a voting booth.

Two men and a corpse walk into an Irish post office. Stop me if you’ve heard this one.

Covid masks would have been helpful in disguising any signs of mortality, and would also be helpful in any attempts at impromptu ventriloquism to give the impression of life.

It was more developed with less slapstick if I recall correctly. I need to go back and watch it again.

I see these foreigners never watched the movie.
In the dark comedy movie, a pair of insurance salesmen lug around the body of their murdered boss - pretending he's still alive - and lose and recover his corpse, which is clothed and wearing tinted glasses, several times.
