Oy, Vey!

Presumptive values. accepted facts (and here I thought facts were, and must be, by nature, an immutable truth?)

Scheme- lots of them, it seems, are necessary to fill in all the gaps.

Yeah, call me the “classical skeptic” of all this “science” (theory, really, as most if not all is either assumed or based on a certain set of premises that are self-limiting to one philosophical position....).

But anyway, where would we be without brilliant minds like Ray Bradbury and others of like genre?

Sure, we are observing unique and hard-if-not-impossible to define things in the world and universe around us, but once the premise as to how and why are focused solely on chance and accident, then other more enthralling options are by force of consensus, eliminated.

I am sure and certain that there is more to the story than this (hint, a story requires an author and a storyteller....).

Just a point of clarification. You used the term “theory”. You do understand that theory is the highest level of proof in science? Did you mean hypothesis?
