Many people are feared dead after a huge explosion near a mining town in western Ghana.
Police say a vehicle carrying mining explosives collided with a motorcycle near the town of Bogoso.
Police have not confirmed the number of casualties...
A large crater can also be seen beside a road.
In an emergency notice, police said the "huge explosion" had occurred between Bogoso and the village of Bawdie.
Rescue efforts are under way and people have been told to move out of the area.

You’re not supposed to carry the blasting caps on the same truck as the dynamite.🤔
Wholly Shit! Did Clown Cone Milley order an attack on a Goat Meat Cart?
I’m thinking that something is janky about this.
Global warming?
That was one hell of a blast.
Doesn’t look good for the motorcycle rider or the truck driver. Or anyone within blocks.
There was a video just a few days ago with the Leader of Ghana decrying the lies of this pandemic and telling the citizens to not submit to the vaccines.
“The guy that trained me said he’d done it this way for years and never had a problem.”
Should never have let Stacks drive the van.
Was he a mooslime?😏
My first thought as well.
The caps are also transported in an armored heavily insulated box.
It is hard to imagine that a collision with a motorcycle could have set them off if they were packed properly.
I is also surprising that mining explosives would have created such a crater.
In most cases mining explosives are primarily ammonium nitrate/petroleum explosives that are mixed at the site with dynamite as the ignition source.
Usually only a small amount of dynamite is kept on hand.
But his is all from my knowledge of how it is done in the US. I have a friend that retired a few years ago as an explosives handler in the mining industry.
I guess you have to assume that in a place like Ghana things might be a bit more relaxed.

Yeah, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve told biker dudes to stay away from the dynamite truck. Maybe the biker was hauling the nitro? Or at least something quicker than 50%. Hope they didn’t ruin a good bike?
What is it about that sentence that has Benny Hill music running through my head.
Crater? Well they didn’t say how much was on the truck. One case of 70% could make an impressive divot. But I didn’t see them say “dynamite” so no telling what the Ghanians were witchcrafting up.
During WW2 the Germans made a terrible, for them, mistake at Remagen. The German commander had his engineers wire the bridge to blow. When the time came to blow it there was some sound, some dust but the bridge was still standing.
German Logistics had sent commercial grade explosives instead of military grade. They would have needed at least twice the amount of commercial grade to collapse the bridge.
The weakened bridge did collapse later while American engineers were repairing it. By that time the US Army had a large force across and had another bridge up in two days.
This video purports to capture the actual explosion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oD18g0UKoek
